  1. Oh, and if anyone's noticed the concrete floor, that was Puck's doing. He ripped open a 2 litre cask of olive oil and it leaked into the carpet. It was impossible to clean so I had to pull all the carpet up and I cannot afford to get new floor covering, so we're stuck with concrete. Good onya Pucky.
  2. some more from Secret's big expedition yesterday. She'd just finished greeting the long life milk and she remembered Pucky was there, so he had to go through the routine all over again. 5F6A5738dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Puck saying "I'm a celebrity whippet, get me out of here!" 5F6A5741dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A5742dppt by kirislin, on Flickr she then proceeded to go hunting for his man boobs. 5F6A5745dppt by kirislin, on Flickr But she came up empty. 3. If it was here would use white vinegar diluted a bit and slosh it all over with a mop. Then you have to try to train her to go on the grass instead of the deck, it might require vigilance on your part.
  4. actually, I am not sure. I know I can if I want, but I've got 3 ageing whippets here plus Neko who is a lively little thing, I dont know that I want another puppy just yet, and it would come with the same conditions as Neko did. It would be required to have a litter. I found it pretty stressful when she went into labour and for about 2 weeks after. Now it's fun, Neko and I have both calmed down and we're both just enjoying the puppies. I'll wait and see how I feel when it's time for them to go.
  5. Secret is the trail blazer, the first to go outside and the first to really start exploring. She was so cute when she came into the kitchen area. She was cautious and creeping along keeping low, but sniffing and wanting to explore. I spoke to her and said hello and she was so relieved to hear a voice she knew she got all excited and started the happy wiggle greeting dance, which she proceeded to do to everything she came across, including a box of long life milk that was stacked beside the fridge. 5F6A5725dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Watch where you put your feet Pucky 5F6A5726dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A5732dppt by kirislin, on Flickr I'll have to watch Puck I think. 8. Puck did something really funny today. He's been on high alert this last week or so because he knows there's been mice running around the house. He sees them dash from one place to another and he bolts after them, but he's hopeless and always too late. He's really trying hard though. Today he saw a little black flash of movement in the hallway and took off as fast as he could, only to have to pull up hard when he realised it was a tiny puppy.
  9. It's started. I was outside for a while and came in to find them exploring the hallway, peeing and pooing like there was no tomorrow. Now they've started running around. They're so cute, they think my feet are ME so they run towards my feet wagging their tails and then clambering all over them. They haven't quite worked out that they need to look up to see me. Little Secret is the friendliest I think and she's just adorable when she comes running up, all happy to see my feet.

  13. He was such a champ yesterday. He made an area outside puppy safe, because any day now they will be wanting to explore. I had a barricade that I'd picked up in hard rubbish a few years ago and it had sat around unused but too handy to throw out. Finally it's been put to really good use. It has a gate in it, so Marcus had a brainwave to use it to block an area off beside my water tank, but when the puppies are big enough I can open the gate and they will have access to the front yard. I might take a photo when it's light enough so you can see what I mean.

  15. Love her long supermodel legs. She's almost a bit Saluki(ish)
  16. Happy birthday Don, you already look so grown up, but I'm sure you're a puppy inside.
  17. Really well now. Poor Neko was stressed the first night but now I think she likes it. Much more away from the other dogs but once the puppies are exploring more they've got plenty of lino to pee and poo on and came come up to the kitchen and talk to the dogs through the baby gate. Actually they can probably still walk through the bars of the baby gate if they tried. I wish I could take better pics and spend more time editing them. My back is sore so I just take what I can and then bulk edit. That photo is too noisy and I've lightened it alot from the original, but I just cant sit down for long so that's the best I can do. It is so sweet though. I love Nekos expression and pose.
  18. what do you want her for? I'm sure as a guarding dog she'll still be able to defend your flock from foxes. The puppies probably still had their navy blue puppy coloured eyes. They will change as they mature.
  19. I wouldn't worry, so long as she's healthy. Did you choose her from the litter?
  20. bloody awful, look at the great dangly flews. Urgh!
