  1. I agree with Kirislin. Great work!! More required though.
  2. Does my butt look big like this?? Some serious poodle fluffy butt Point the toes as we exit butt
  3. Kirty are you able to scan/copy these articles and start a new thread with them? Maybe Troy would be able to put a sticky up with all the sub headings? They are of interest to a broad range of breeders and I am sure will generate a large amount of interest.
  4. He will be fine to rehome if that is what you decide to do. Poodles adapt very well to new situations, it is us that has the issue i usually make sure they have another poodle or small dog to live with and that makes the transition so much easier.
  5. I have resorted to putting plastic over the areas where the boys mark Looks daggy but they have stopped. No smell no marking. We ended up replacing our old carpet as it was stained and yes the odour remains in the underlay. Since then and the plastic we have had very little problems. If we do have an issue it is easilly wiped up with spray and wipe with no harm done.
  6. Take her off the dry food!! The grains in that will be causing you the grief. Feed her a totally raw diet for a month and see if there is an improvement. Oh and no beef or preservatives. Do this in conjunction with the dermotic drops, cleaning the ears out regularly and you should see a big difference. I had the same issue when Eukanuba started to add more grain into their dry food. I no longer feed this product and have had no more issues.
  7. Octopus?? Awesome pics, great colour - very jealous!
  8. I would get it seen to again as a wart shouldn't bleed continuously - it may need removal. If you have some caster oil you can rub that on it twice a day. It won't do him any harm and it may help to stem the bleeding.
  9. I have lots and lots of puppy pics This is Miss Fleabie who is always up to mischief..

  15. I am arriving at 7.30am so I guess I will hit peak hour also I like the idea of the shuttle but wonder how long it will take to get into the city and then to the train and the show grounds..... I have a bitch entered but she is already down there and will be taken to the grounds (relief) so it is just up to me to find my way. Maybe I will just have to suck it up and pay for a taxi
  16. Thank you for that. That looks like the best option me thinks
  17. $30-40 depending on time. Thank you. I was thinking more like $70+
  18. I will be flying into Melbourne on Tuesday morning and need to grab a taxi from the airport to the show grounds. Can anyone give me an idea of cost and time please? Or do they have a bus that will go there? Thank you. JAG
  19. Yes I am sure we have all had "those" calls One time I had had enough and felt like being a bit smart... So I asked the enquirer how much they paid for their 1st house? Oh 5 thousand dollars. Really? How much did you pay for your first car? $1,500. Really? Ok so how much would you buy a house for now? Oh well over $400,000. and a new car? About $20,000 uh huh says me. And your first poodle cost you around $400.00? Yes that sounds right. So if everything else in your life has increased why the hell are the price of dogs not allowed to increase?? Oh I just thought they would be the about the same price as I paid for my first one. Yeah right, and I am a charity. It actually gets them thinking....
  20. For those of you who send their puppies interstate via a flight do you mail the puppy pack or just send the bits that are easy with the puppy?
  21. I have had two toy size dogs that have had the implant. The first boy had it due to agression issues as I wanted to take the edge off and it did that. His implant was for 12 months and it lasted just over that. He had resonable size testies to start with and they decreased in size and were soft. Towards the end of the 12 months he started to become his old self so I knew it was wearing off. I decided to get him desexed after this as I found the more clam boy easier to live with. Unfotunately he died 5 weeks to the day after being desexed The second boy was done with a 6 month one but it lasted 18 months. He has recently sired a healthy litter of all boys. His testies shrank away to nearly nothing (he didn't have very big ones to start with.) He also put on weight which he has now dropped and got his personality back. With both dogs I found they lost "who they were" so to speak. They became very non plussed about most things almost like sedadated. Would I do it again. Probably not. I think I would much prefer to put the sperm on ice and desex the boy instead.
  22. Great to see you back Jed.
  23. Toy poodles come in a range of colours: Black, white, brown, apricot, cream, red, blue, silver. The whites are like the standard you described and should have a black pigment. Having said that some whites have pink skin so their pigment is not as good. Whites and creams should never have brown pigment or liver noses. Browns are browns and not chocolate. I think this may be a cross over from the labs who have chocolate listed as their colour. The browns fade an unfortunate thing as they are such a gorgeous colour when young. You are correct in that the base and some guard hairs are grey/silver in colour mixing with the brown hairs to give that silvery appearance. This pictures shows a 3 year old brown who has faded and her son who is obviously still a nice brown at 12 months (although in need of a good bath )
