  6. I just use the daily heartworm pills from Woolies! They cost about $3.50 for 100 tablets. You just have to remember to give them daily though! Have been using them for ages, always give them with their breakfast then it's easy to remember
  7. I can't give you any advice{thankfully haven't had that problem},but really feel for you and Max. Must be awful to have a pup that wants to run around and do puppy stuff, but just can't. Hope everything turns out ok ,I'm sure it will Nina
  8. I'd never heard of it either. The only thing I remember the vet saying was it had tetunus cover, can't remember what else it covered though. Does anyone else know?
  9. Have noticed no one has mentioned anything about a C8 vacc {unless i've missed it}.Last year got my card in the mail from vet "your dogs vaccination is due" ,so dutifully took him down and before i knew it,[not until i came to pay as it cost more] ,told me he'd had C8! Was very peed off I can tell you but was too late by then, already had it in him Since being on DOL and learning more about vaccinations,am not going to do any of them again for at least 3 years and maybe not even then. Nina
  10. My thoughts go out to the family. So sad :D
  11. Yep,think you're doing a great thing bringing him into your home for his old age I"ve got a soft spot for the oldies too ,they need a bit of comfort in their old age. Nina btw,do you have wolfies too?
  12. Agree.Don't do it!My son got his goldie and gsd pups at the same time and found it got too much when they were about 9 months old, which is why I now have his gsd
  13. Yep,got it for my Wolfie, was becoming quite dominant over the others, took a couple of months but definately works. Just had it done again before xmas. It's supposed to last 12 months, but noticed the bad behaviour coming back. Vet said it might might not last full 12 months cos of his size, but it did last for 10 months.
