  1. Hi Dogmate. To give you an idea about the price of our breed and what some breeders do... Our Australian Shepherds are sold for $1,000.00 on limit registration, which is in the lower price range for a pet Aussie. Australian Shepherd parents need to have their hips scored prior to being bred. Australian Shepherd puppies need to be vaccinated and microchipped prior to sale. Other tests (which we do) are Elbow Scoring, Eye Screening and DNA testing for CEA, HC, MDR1, NBT, and PRA. Our puppies come with the required microchip and vaccination, as well as a full health guarantee, worming, flea prevention, eye screening and a puppy folder full of information and photos etc. Feel free to PM me here for more information on the breed. :)
  2. Ask when you make your first email or call, but don't make it your first question. IMO health is more important then price, so I like to see others ask about health testing and then price.
  3. I've done it twice. Both times interstate frozen Both times the AI was around $700. Whelped twelve and then ten puppies.
  4. If all else fails, the puppy is welcome here. I have a five day old litter. However I am in Whyalla which is a four hour drive.

  21. For those who have X Trails with Puppy Bars instead of the standard Cargo Barrier (If there are any such people here); can you please post photos and prices so that I can look at changing my cargo barrier for fitted puppy bars? :)
  22. Hiya Sharon, can you PM/email me again please? I sent you an email. ;) As for supplementing; this litter I have decided to try using K9 Showstopper and K9 Puppy Gold. http://whelpingsuppl...iewCat&catId=71 I have pretty good records of weights of mum and babies throughout the last litter so will be comparing again with this litter (though the sires are different). I had Alice building up to the daily amount on the packaging for K9 Showstopper, and then begun using K9 Puppy Gold instead after ultrasound confirmation around day 28. I'll continue to feed Alice K9 Puppy Gold and then the puppies can have it as well when they begin to wean.
  23. On average; Alice gained 55.3gm of weight per day of pregnancy 1. She was two years old. On average; Alice is gaining 128gm of weight per day of pregnancy 2. She is three years old. Maybe the girls keep getting bigger each litter? ETA: This time around I have been supplementing Alice with K9 showstopper earlier in the pregnancy and then Puppy Gold after ultrasound. Surgical Frozen??? Awesome results :) Yes, both by Surgical Insemination. :) Thanks. :) Cannot wait until Friday morning for the xrays. :)
