Well at least salad and freckles are yummy things. I have a dog who goes for roo meat in sardine oil I'm pretty sure that Steve actively avoided me once the treat pouch came out on Sunday -

Thanks Steve. We really enjoyed our lesson and I was extremely proud of Kei on both days I think you have taught hubby quite a lot too - he has come away with a completely different attitude to things. I hope you will consider coming back to Adelaide in the future -

Hey all. We had a great time at the consult. I'm so happy to finally be able to put a some faces to names Kei is now in love with Kenzie (I may have to steal her lol). I think I am in love with Pele too she's the cutest thing I have ever seen I also really enjoyed chatting to Ness, Rivsky, KHM (lunch was great by the way ), Zug Zug, Pete.the.dog, Bully.... there were a few more too but after the 4 hour drive home this arvo my brain is a little fried And meeting all the dogs. Steve managed to make the day fly! It was great watching him work the dogs - particularly what he did with the black lab. I was also amazed at what he was able to to with (Kynans??) GSD (who was stunning BTW). Now it's time for me to sift through all my notes and start putting some of this stuff into action! -

Poor Kenzie. So many boys and so little time. It must be hard being so popular! I think Kei liked her too Thanks for the directions MRB, we managed to park in the right place and Steve was easy to find Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow morning -

Okay, well I think we are all ready for our consult at 3:30pm :p MRB, I remember you said to park on a certain side of the club. Do you remember which street that is? Oh and not Cassie but my dog is the 3rd type - the OMG, OMG!! Another dog, another DOG!! IM SO EXCITED!!! type Though he does read other dogs pretty well and tends to get the message when they tell him to bugger off lol. -

Thanks MRB Wishing I had brought a few more toys now too (though I did bring a few lol). I think I'll go to the shops tomorrow morning and get some extra treats too. If there is a bench there I have a few cushions that I can bring so that should be okay ;) -

Thanks for the tips MRB :D Did you take many different treats? I've only brought what we normally use for training with me (they are yummy ones though). Trying to work out if I need to go shopping in the morning. Did Steve bring much gear with him or did you mainly use your own? I have so many questions lol. And chairs!! I didn't bring any! Might have to buy one of those too :D -

Good luck with your consult tomorrow MRB Mine is on Friday afternoon :p -
I prefer BARF over dry Of the 3 foods you have listed I would choose Eagle Pack (which I is now called something else - Holistic Select I think??). Artemis reads very well but I know of quite a few dogs that haven't liked it at all (neither my dog nor cat would touch it). Ziwi peak is very good but also pretty expensive. Eagle Pack sits nicely in the middle and it's a good quality food. It can be hard to get hold of sometimes though. I also like Nutrience as a premium dry food. Most suppliers will send you samples so that your dog can try the food before you buy it. Otherwise just get the smallest bag you can find and see how you go. Nothing worse than having 20kg's of food that you can't use lol.

You should be fine with a wire crate, they are pretty indestructable We are driving down to Adelaide in the morning so I have to make sure I have enough room for my stuff as well as dog + dog gear lol. And no 4 wheel drive for me either -

Nah you'll be fine, and if not well we will probably be in the naughty corner too so at least you and Pete wont be lonely . As for the crate there will be plenty of doggie people there to help you set it up if you have trouble Did you get a soft crate or a wire one? I'm worried Kei will bust out of his soft crate but there's no way I can fit my c-crate in the car It will be interesting that's for sure! -

The 101 ways in which my dog can embarrass me in front of 30 other people or make that the ways in which I can embarrass myself ...and there's that too Steve is going to get to see how unco I am IRL -

It's come around so quickly! I'm getting nervous now -
But did you notice towards the end she's getting distracted (and I'm ok with that because OH is using the whipper snipper), but not happy with how I finished the session - it's a bit flat Yes, but even I was getting distracted by that whipper snipper in the background just watching the vid. I think she did really well to ignore it like that!
-
When you're looking from Indi and my level it's not hard to look great ETA to say we didn't have a very good training session today so we're in need of a little motivation Hmm, I dont know about that. I saw your latest vid (where you are training out front of your house??) and Indi looks pretty good to me
-
Thats a hard question to answer! To be honest I would probably allow an autopsy but would likely draw the line at donating the body... Then again if the diseaase was that rare I dont know.... I suppose it's not something that you can answer until you have been there. I am a little funny about organ donation too. Dont get me wrong - I beleive that it's a very good thing, but it kind of irks me to bury somebody without their heart
-
I saw your new vid FionaC. Mort looks great! He did really well with all that was going on around him! We did our session in a completely new area this morning. It went okay... but I stacked it halfway through and landed on my bum
-
OMG just watched your latest video and you're doing great . I love the way he's bouncing and he's sitting beautifully. Is that module 2 you're doing, and if so how long ago did you start (you look more advanced than we do )? As far as sounding like a "deranged lunatic", if I could get rid of the sound I would - I don't sound like me (IMO ;) ) dont think I sound like me either. I generally dont walk around squealing in a high pitched voice either Nope, we are still on module 1, but hopefully moving to module 2 very soon (I just have to get Kei out ito some new places and see how he goes first). We've been on mod 1 for a looooong time though Started off in prey drive but somewhere along the line things went a bit awry and we just weren't getting anywhere. We changed to food the beginning of this month and Kei has come along in leaps and bounds since He's a pretty low drive lazy dog so he is surprising me a lot at the moment! Hehe, and yep, I have vids of me tripping over, losing my sunnies, dropping the food and dancing around like an idiot while Kei ignores me too. I'm sure Steve has had more than one laugh at my expense Go back to the early ones and you will wet your pants laughing I really should take those down... but it does give me something to look back on whenever I think we're not getting anywhere too.
-
Thats cos it's not a toy Seita, it roo meat soaked in sardine oil ;) Though the earlier vids were with a toy though lol. And I've seen your vids too Ella is fantastic!

Hehe, I found your vids gsdog2 Indi looks good Hmmm "crazy lady" vids, well we have plenty of those lol. I try to sound 'encouraging' but I come off sounding like a deranged lunatic Not to mention the countless times I have tripped over my own feet ;)

I do keep my dog inside just in case, though no-one should have to do that. I'm sorry that you lost your dog, it shouldn't happen. But I dont necessarily agree that these are killer dogs.. Perhaps I should watch the story, but I dont find much that ACA does to be very credible or give a full acount of the circumstances. Plus I think I would find it very upsetting I am by no means saying that I think that what the dogs did was okay - but I wouldn't say that they are DA and deserve what they get either. It sounds like more of a case of an irresponsible owner than bad dogs. Sadly I dont think that having these dogs PTS is really punishing the owner either. He will just get another dog. Erny said it better than me ETA- as did WoofnHoof
