  1. Hope this may help answer your concerns. From Dogs Victoria website: 4.4 TRANSFERS OF OWNERSHIP Regulations - Part 4 - Page 9 4.4.1 An application for the transfer of ownership of a registered dog shall be made on the reverse of the Certificate of the dog’s Registration. For dogs sold within Australia, the new owner is responsible for the lodgement of the application for transfer of registration. 4.4.2 An application for transfer of ownership of a dog may be considered by the Management Committee if the signature of the Registered Owner cannot be obtained. In such circumstances the person seeking to transfer the dog must submit a statutory declaration evidencing the facts. Management Committee may approve or disallow the transfer depending on the facts and Management Committee may impose conditions on the transfer as it may deem necessary. 4.4.3 Any transaction which changes the registered status or ownership of a dog will only be effected upon receipt of the dog's Registration Certificate. Where such Registration Certificate has been lost or destroyed a duplicate may be extracted subject to receipt of a statutory declaration and fee. 4.4.4 Except as provided for in these Regulations any member selling, supplying or disposing of a dog to (15/11/11) another person must supply to that person the signed registration certificate duly completed with the name and address of the person and the transfer date, within one calendar month of disposal unless Management Committee otherwise directs. A member shall not include any contractual provisions contrary to this regulation. 4.4.5 Any member who sells a registered dog without transfer of registration to the purchaser must obtain the agreement of the purchaser in writing that the dog will either not be transferred into the name of the purchaser or deregistered with the VCA. 4.4.6 A member shall not sell any dog which is not registered, nor use in connection with the sale or disposal of a dog, VCA, registration forms and/or documents in such a manner as to cause the purchaser to believe the dog being sold is registered with the VCA.
  2. Have a look at these, they are available in Australia http://www.niteize.com/collection/Pet.asp
  3. You strip the outside of the ear so it is free of long hair to give a clean outline, should be smooth like chamois, for showing some may need scissoring around edge of ear to further define. Aussies don't usually have hair actually in the ear canal unlike say poodles. In 30 odd years of owning prick eared dogs (Kelpies and Aussie Terriers) I have never had one with an ear infection. I would be getting vet to check further, maybe swabs to rule out yeast infection or ear mites.
  4. From Dogs Qld website: 105. In order to enter, exhibit or handle a dog in or at Championship Shows or Trials, a person, or all persons in a partnership, must be financial members of the CCC(Q) or another recognised State, Territory or International Controlling Body or be sponsored by a financial member (rule 336 b).
  5. Last year it started at 8.00 am, maybe they are just taking precautions in case of heat and scheduling so they don't need to make changes if it does warm up.
  6. Size chart is here: http://www.doogshop.com.au/collections/molly-mutt-diy-dog-beds I usually sell the medium for staffie size dogs, the largest is HUGE. They have some great new patterns and colours.
  7. "From the Office All members please note KCC PARK exhibition area one ( the front grassed area) is closed for restoration work from Monday to Friday until further notice. This includes all of those individual members who come to train their dogs - please use exhibition area two or the big grassed area behind the Boxhall Pavilion. Thank you for your co-operation." I read this as only Monday to Friday, hope I'm right in thinking that and that this coming weekend shows aren't affected. Hope we don't get moved inside again when the weather is supposed to be okay - cloudy 25.
  8. Thanks so much for attaching the flier. Where did you get it? This was not what appeared in my Dogs Vic. Gazette. I must have missed the note about the venue change in Dogs Vic Gazette Just Berwick Show webpage.
  9. It is common knowledge, page 2 (In the schedule part of the magazine) of the January Gazette!! I'm surprised that some don't read the gazette, as talking to a few at the last weekend show, some didn't even know the venue has changed nor even read about it in last months gazette.... I did read it in the gazette first but I also own a business in Beaconsfield.
  10. The venue has been changed to Holm Park on Beaconsfield-Emerald Rd. This is a new venue so don't know which oval they will be using. If coming from Cranbourne, head out on Princes Hwy through Berwick, as you come into Beaconsfield you will pass Akoonah Park on the left where the main Aggie show is then turn left at the lights into Beaconsfield-Emerald Rd, continue along until you see Holm Park on right, guess it would be about 500-750m along. http://www.berwickshow.org.au/attachments/article/26/Dog%20Show%20and%20Dog%20High%20Jump%20Event.pdf
  11. From Dogs Victoria website: The Berwick All Breeds Kennel Club championship show 16/2/14 will be held in the Boxhall Pavilion at the scheduled time of 8.30am with no lunch break.
  12. Could have done morning show bit earlier and would have finished that before heat, was very pleasant this morning until about noon (and I certainly don't do heat well) then a twilght show about 7pm. People could have found cool things to do inbetween. I have stayed for the weekend, I am just in my van with no air conditioning, have actually been outside under gazebo all day and been fine. Dogs have just laid around with their cool coats on and only occassionally even panting. I know we were told it was out of club control but maybe there were other options that could have been looked at, that would can kept all parties as happy as possible. It was very late notice for people travelling, especially after being confirmed that it was going ahead.
  13. Could someone let me know number of dogs in show please, silly me threw out catalogue before I left the venue. Thanks in advance:-)
  14. The Ballarat Dog Club have advised us that due to the predicted extreme weather conditions with a current forecast of 41 degrees for Sunday 2 February 2014 their all breeds championship show has been cancelled.
