  1. I can put up a deluxe gazebo on my own, I have heard the compacts can be a bit harder until they loosen up. I usually get the frame up enough to put the roof on, then climb under and push up from the centre.
  2. Fern's cracked it to a certain extent. She is still cleaning up after them but only feeds them when I tell her too. I think she finds them a bit overwhelming when they fall upon her like famished sharks! She is much happier when I have fed them first and they aren't so frantic.
  3. You obviously don't visit facebook much. Topics on here are regularly cross posted and discussed already. I use facebook all the time and have only seen the odd topic crossed over, and only very recently. I am obviously not political enough, or, more truthfully, am not "friends" with the "right" people
  4. please let us know how you get on, soft crates are so popular I'm sure you won't be the only one needing ideas on how to repair them.
  5. all have come home sitting on the passengers lap, longest time was 3 and 1/2 hrs.
  6. I have one at the foot of the bed, the rest are in the dog trailer for shows. Of course the greys have the choice of 2 couches or my bed for alternative sleeping places but they all take turns sleeping in the crate (open)
  7. fair enough, I am stalking your posts in the July thread for pics! :D
  8. but then people at least have to go to the trouble to click on the link to read it. Can see alot of user names changing in a hurry.
  9. Ovens Valley Canine Club held at Myrtleford Victora Sept 18th and 19th 2011 with Jan Edwards $30 per day includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea limited places to be booked and paid for by August 30th contact: Kath Volkmer 03 57551264 Neilma Eames 03 57217396 P.O. BOX 168, MYRTLEFORD 3737
  10. I would suggest going to a saddler with the crate and ask them if they can sew some shadecloth or the soft flywire mesh onto the door panel.
  11. I'm happy with my cheapy one, no problems with it yet, 3 years old and going strong. I am sure I will be just as happy with the one I have ordered from Dyzney as I am happy with everything else I have got from her over the past few years. Great reliable service from someone I have a history with.
  12. do you know how to send photo's via email? if so I can put them up for you. Will PM you
  13. me too that photo needs to photoshop out the flag hanging from Shimmer's tummy though
  14. why? The breeder of my bitch is not big on communication but I would go back to her again. Shes breeds great dogs.
  15. years and years ago when I had German Shepherds I made up a prefix from their names, never thought I would end up breeding greyhounds, it was my first choice; Brantarby - Brandy, Tara, Abby and it doesn't include the name of my best GSD ever Zoe
  16. I know gazebo's topics abound but I am thinking of downsizing to a deluxe compact gazebo, mainly cause it would fit in my car and I wouldn't need to tow the trailer to show just one dog. So good reviews or bad?
  17. I've just ordered the blue one too! I thought the purple might be too popular so went the blue :D not that I need another one but since I was buying a couple of their boot cover/protector thingee's (to use on my floors for the pups) I thought I might as well get a new floor for the gazebo.
  18. cold nights won't bother me, I'll be snug at home. Because of the puppies I'm not showing but I am doing the seminars. I think I'll rock up mid morning for a cuppa and morning tea and stay on for the seminar. :D There will still be some greyhounds there though
  19. That's great and the broken nights won't last for weeks! They usually sleep through the night much quicker than a human baby I remember my teenager saying how much work a pup was, especially at night, I told her not as hard as a real baby
  20. That 1st photo, they are all saying, let me out, let me out :D
  21. you need to give her a day or two to settle in. It's a life changing event.
  22. yeah I'm another one who sets the alarm, I also have them in a full size crate with no divider.
