  1. Lola is the same as Winnie. We've never had any problems with Lola's breathing or problems with the heat or cold.
  2. Here's some of Lola's photos that we did a little while back. Love them to bits, we had heaps of fun together.
  3. I have my dream puppy - British Bulldog and my husband has his dream puppy - Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Wouldn't have it any other way
  4. Totally agree bullyfan. Our BB is always sleeping in funny positions, sometimes makes me wonder why she doesn't wake up with a stiff neck. BB's - even though they make look a little scary to some people (though my Lola doesn't) they make one of the best pets for kids.
  5. Oh I just love seeing new pics of Winnie. She's too gorgeous.
  6. I find with our two puppies, that they will share all of their toys but their bed toy. Lola has a teddy and Boss had a Kookaburra. When Boss came home he tired to take Lola's teddy and she was having none of that. Same goes for Boss' Kookaburra. I'm a bit like that when it comes to my pillow though
  7. Me - Engineer though studying to be a secoundary teacher Husband - IT Gov Lola - she's be the Queen of England and just be waited on. If she didn't have her lil brother around she'd eat and sleep all day Boss- he'd be in the circus for sure
  8. Our lil girl is very much like me, just wants to be loved though very stubborn, loves to sleep and likes to be inside with us. Our lil boy is very much like my husband, can't keep still, likes to go with the flow, doesn't like to sleep too much as they might miss out on something and never shuts up.
  9. FD26 - he's not biting us but poor Lola's face is looking a bit worse for wear. But she's a little stirrer and gives it straight back to him. His sleep is getting better though he wakes up every morning like clock work at 4:30am for a pee and then again at 6:00am for pee and breakfast. I really do wish that as time goes he will be able to miss the 4:30am pee as it's the killer. Specially having to work. I've also noticed that they're rough housing is settling down a lot which is great and he seems to be picking up on Lola's sleeping habits (now just to get rid of that 4:30am wake up call). Boss is slowly getting to know his name, just working on it. The breeder used Pup Pup so he responds to that wonderfully. I still reckon that he should have been called Wilber as when he's in his crazy mode he runs around jumping like a little pig (but he's my husbands puppy and he didn't get a choice with naming Lola). So glad that everyone's puppy is behaving and can't wait to see all the new puppies to come.
  10. I cried when I read this. I just can't believe that there are people out there that could do this to any type of dog, but specially a bulldog. Massive hugs for Spike
  11. Sallyandtex - neither of our puppies have destroyed their beds. The only things that they crew on so far has been their toys
  12. Wuffles we do that for breakfast and dinner but due to my husband and I working during the day we can't separate them at lunch time. At least neither of them is aggressive when it comes to food. We have two automatic feeders so Boss does get to eat some of his lunch but he is going ot have to learn to eat faster or we are going to have to give him more at dinner if it comes to that.
  13. We leave our puppies inside and just barrier off parts of the house with baby gates. Make sure that they have plenty of fun toys/kongs filled with treats and they seem to be fine. We used to put puppy pads or newspaper down but they just destroy it so now we just leave a old towel down and they just go on the towel if they really need to. But we're starting to find that our puppies (specially our 4 month old) can hold until we get home from work. We also got an automatic feeder that worked a treat as well.
  14. Hiya everyone, sorry for the delay in reply. We're alive and well. My goodness what a weekend! We picked Boss up on Friday night and he and Lola got along like a house of fire. They didn't stop playing until around midnight. Poor Lola looked like she hadn't slept in a week. We're finding that Boss doesn't eat his food as quickly as Lola so that is proving to be a bit of a problem. Also he is a crier at night time. Friday night he woke up around 4 times (every hour from midnight), Saturday night woke up 4 times. From Friday night we worked out a bit of a program. Put Lola to bed at 9:00pm so that she can get a bit of a head start, then 9:30pm Boss has his warm puppy milk and a bit of a play (we have to try and keep him awake) then 10:00pm we put him to bed. We've found that if we do this he sleeps til 4:45am, take them both out for a toilet trip and then back to bed til 6am. Boss is now getting better with his crying (only now doing it for 15 mins before giving up and going to sleep). It really did make us think just how wonderful of a puppy Lola is, from the very first night she slept from 10pm til 6am without a problem. The joys of having two puppies
  15. Puppy Preschool is the way to go. That way you know that your on the same playing field
  16. I'll be sure to post some pics over the weekend and let you know how the sleeping and toilet training goes. We were so lucky with that stuff with Lola. Fingers crossed that Boss is the same
  17. OMG tonight we pick up our lil guy. SO very excited, can you please make today go super fast.
  18. Every 4 to 6 weeks, but gets a face wipe and brush every night
  19. Oh today and tomoorow can't come soon enough thats for sure. Though I'm a little apprehensive about his sleeping habits. With our BB Lola from the first night she was perfect. We put her to bed at 10pm she maybe cried for 30 seconds and then fell asleep until we woke her up in the morning around 7am. And on the weekends she can sleep til around 9am. Fingers crossed that our lil guy has good sleeping habits or picks up on Lola's.
