Just this last Wednesday night around 7.00 p.m. we were in our kitchen/dining area when all of a sudden out of nowhere an indian man appeared from around the corner of our laundry which is where the back door is.....we looked at him and all he could say was "29 baby" I turned to ask some friends if he was with them (they had just arrived) they shrugged their shoulders as if to say not with them and then we heard this awful noise....Dezzy came skating along the tiles on the kitchen floor with Jessie saying I am going to join in too but u can do all the growling....my husband got between the intruder and Dezzy and he said he had to use all his force to hold Dezzy back from getting to this guy....I got past and called Dezzy who came and I put him in a room and locked him in there....the guy had gone through our side gate and slipped the latch under the padlock and walked straight through the back door...I always thought that Dezzy would lick an intruder and say take what u want but I think ourselves and kids along with our house are going to be pretty safe

so glad Tully is okay tlc....what a scary time for you but a good outcome in the end

thanks Harley....we have our break-up next weekend but are really ready for next season...unfortunately we now have to wait until next year to get back into the tracking

I have some great news.....Dezzy and myself passed Test Two with a very good score and Dezzy also got Best Performing Dog Of The Day under our judge......what a great way to end the season.....we have had fantastic support from our club and are really grateful to them....now we cannot wait until next season starts

I can't believe it but Dezzy and myself have finished the tracking season with a very good pass and Dezzy also got the Best Performing Dog on the Day under the judge.....what a fantastic season we have had and with all the help from our Obedience Club and support we have received from them....both Tamika and myself are totall wrapped

Today Tamika and Jessie went to their last tracking trial for the season and passed Test Two with a very good score....Jessie also got Best Performance Dog of the Day under her judge.....I was at the end but was told that Tamika tried to pull Jessie off track and Jessie planted her feet and howled and Tamika had no choice but to follow as Jessie just pulled her down an embankment to get to me....Jessie also went and did a right turn but after making the turn she turned around and went left....she went to the toilet then turned on the spot and with lightening speed ran back to the track to continue on....the judge said she has been a judge for many many years and had heard dogs cry before but had heard nothing like Jessie did when all Jessie wanted to do was to get to me....Jessie has also not done this on a training day so I think it has all clicked for Jessie....I tried to get Tamika in to letting me train Jessie and she train Dezzy but she wouldn't be in it I believe Tamika to be the youngest handler in Victoria to get two passes in tracking and definitely the youngest handler in Australia with an Amstaff I am so proud of them both and want to thank the BDOC for all their patience and help with us....we have enjoyed tracking so much and cannot wait for the new season to start next year.....we are so lucky in that the club we attend are so very very helpful with everyone with whatever "sport" you choose to do and encourage you all of the time Dezzy and myself are to trail on Monday which I think if i do or don't pass that there is going to be some very good competition continuing in our household for the next season of tracking

Tamika and Jessie have now attended their final trial for the season and I am very happy to say that they have now passed Test Two with a very good score....Jessie also got best performance dog of the day under her judge because when Tamika wanted Jessie to go another way she howled and pulled Tamika the way she wanted to go she also took a turn to the right and completed the turn then spun around and went left and went to the toilet, spun around on the spot and flew back to the track and off she went.....I am just sooo over the moon and this team have improved so much between the two trials and Jessie tracks so good I told Tamika I will swap dogs...lol....thanks to everyone at BDOC for being so great in their training and teaching us all about tracking although there is so much more to learn but everyone there has been so good to us and been so patient with us....am looking forward to Monday when I go out with Dezzy and see how he goes but dont expect much and am wrapped at the stage we are up to at the end of the season

just letting everyone know that Tamika and Jessie have both now done their very first 800m in training yesterday....they did very well although Jessie at one time wanted to go play with the kangaroos but Tamika got her back on track and I was found....poor Jessie was a bit tired but has recovered well....will let everyone know how they go at their next trial hopefully in September...I am just soooo proud of them both

they all just seem to grab u by the heart and lead u around.....i love it....especially when they have their own personality and do not care about anything...lol

but if she didn't drive u nuts Indigirl it wouldn't be your special girl and it probably just wouldn't be her....lol

indigirl she just looks so gorgeous and like such a sweety....Tamika said she will most definitely have her to train her Tamika said there is no way that she is evil with a face like that....she is sooo cute

thanks indigirl....we have only had Dezzy for about 2 years being our first dog ever and Jessie for about 1 1/2 years.....we have had such great support from our local obedience club and without them we wouldn't be where we are now....they have been very supportive even not worrying about what breed of dog we have and sticking up for us when comments were made about our breed of dogs.....I showed Tamika ur post and she laughed sooo much and said sure if u want to send ur dog down she will train it thanks again indigirl my daughter enjoys reading everyone comments and it is a great confidence boost for her as well

thanks Huntia....it is a happy ending for such a great little dog....Jessie is a dream and loves the kids to bits....we also love her and believe me both dogs are spoilt rotten even to the point where they sleep on the kids beds at night and the kids turn the electric blanket on for the side of the bed the dogs sleep on...lol.....as a parent I am just sooo proud of my kids and furkids....lol

thanks MEH and shelties n danes yes it is fantastic that my daughter has got into the dog sports we do.....and as a parent u feel so proud of them for doing their best and enjoying the sport and our dogs as well

thanks heaps to everyone for your kind comments....my daughter really enjoys reading them....I am also proud to tell everyone that Dezzy and myself also got a very good pass today.....it has been a fantastic weekend and the dogs really enjoy the tracking....the only downside is that now we have to train for 800m instead of 400m which I am sure the dogs wont mind at all and neither will we.....lol

I have more fantastic news and that is Dezzy and myself also got a very good pass at tracking today....we have had such a wonderful weekend but from next weekend back to training to track over 800m....I am sure the dogs will love the extra distance....lol

thanks everyone ur comments are greatly appreciated...it is great seeing kids out there doing well in dog sports.....and our dogs are American Staffordshire Terriers Huck House.....I will let u all know how me and Dezzy go today....lol

huge congratulations Tassie....it is great when u get a pass and I think it would be funny to see your dog barking at the track layer...lol...unfortunately for my track layer she gets jumped on by Dezzy who weighs 37kg...she tells me she gets ready for the pounce...lol
