thanks Sue & Waldo and Tassie....we have had a better season than what I thought we would....am so happy and a very proud mum of Tamika and Jessie with what they have achieved....can't get any better than an excellent in a Test 5

hope you don't mind me putting my little brags for our recent tracking season here - Dezzy - gained his TD Test 3 at the start of the season and has just obtained his TDX which is Test 6 Jessie - gained her TD Test 3 at the start of the season and has just obtained her Test 5 with a score of excellent (Jessie has been having seizures unbeknown to us and has come out with an excellent in her Test 5 on the medication) also Tamika (Jessie;s handler who is 12 years old) is the youngest handler in Australia to obtain these passes with an Amstaff Pink - just started her off but gained a Test 1 with a score of excellent We have had a brilliant season and we are so proud of our dogs and their achievements

well good luck to you and your beautiful dogs....we will all miss tracking and track and search but hopefully next season will be here before we know it....as I said before good luck with your track and search and your test 6 :)

people like this disgust me....I can see why they are angry about people not cleaning up after their dogs but this is totally the wrong way to resolve the issue

have been out tracking in the bush and one was seen about 2 weeks ago and fortunately this weekend although it was warmer no snakes were seen yet.....they will be out and about though very soon and I hope everyone stays safe from them :)

exactly my dog Dezzy passed his Test 6 on the weekend and I really didn't think we would pass....big jump from 5 to 6....but I must say I am very proud of him as well as our other two dogs who got excellent on Test 5 and Test 1...we had a terrific weekend....but am missing tracking as I wash and pack all the gear away....can't wait till next season starts

you will be right Tassie.....I was a nervous wreck and passed Test 6 so if Dezzy and I can do it believe me so can everyone else :laugh: and good luck

congratulations RubyBlue.....on Saturday Zforce Rock Ina Frock aka Pink got an excellent on her Test 1 on Sunday Tamika and Zforce Sweet Surrender aka Jessie got an excellent on their Test 5 (judge said the dog was on rails) and today (Monday) Amerykus God Ov War aka Dezzy got a good on his Test 6 so is now known as Amerykus God Ov War TDX.....was a great trial and a fantastic end to the tracking season....can't wait for next season to come around :)

OMG I cannot believe what people do to their pets

so glad there is a great outcome and Butch is home with his family.....there are too many dogs being PTS due to VCAT making stupid decisions and not listening to the real experts in dog identification....too many beautiful family dogs not being able to go back home

congratulations Rubyblue on you and Dyson's pass....was a very cold weekend but very enjoyable....the video footage is a bit "wobbly" but if you look up at the trees and the dogs level they can be quite intimidating.....as for re-scenting I have never had to do it have always got Dezzy back on to the scent but have practised it once and if the judge says to re-scent your dog I would.....they seem to get straight back on track once re-scented but it isn't something I do....once again congratulations on your pass with Dyson and hopefully we will catch up at one of the trials left....I am starting my new dog at the German Shepherd trial in two weeks as well as doing Track 6 with Dezzy and Tamika and Jessie are up to Track 5 as we both passed at the same trial you were at but we must have been on different days and then doing the Ballarat September trial....would do Inverleigh but I don't like doing a trial one weekend and then going to another the following weekend I just find it a bit much on us and our dogs (it is only my opinion).....as I said hope to catch up at one of the trials to come and good luck and your next trial :)

thanks Tassie....Tamika wants me to get a fail so her and Jessie can catch up to us so she keeps telling me on the morning of the trials we are going to fail.....looking forward to next trial and we are having so much fun.....everyone is really nice there so it makes it more enjoyable :)

RIP Penny....it is so sad to lose a pet but I bet Penny was happy to be home where she was loved and where she wanted to be

what a fantastic weekend.....Tamika and Jessie passed with a good pass for their Track 4.....Dezzy and myself just by the skin of our teeth passed Track 5....now we only have one week to practice our new tracks so maybe the next trial will be an expensive training session :laugh:

thanks Staff'n'Toller....apparently you can buy a vented helmet strap which works but do not to really want to pay $60 for one time although maybe we might do other stuff with it as well....it would be so funny I think :laugh:

this is a link to video footage of a Gopro on Jessie's harness whilst she is tracking....it is really wonky as it is a first attempt but we are trying to work out a way to make it more stable.....it is interesting seeing everything from a dogs point of view and is very funny..... hopefully will get better footage soon that I can post up and show everyone and hope you do not get "seasick" watching it....lol

oh well kathq there is always next time....as I say an expensive training session.....and thanks we have had a great season so far and hopefully with more to come...I nearly didn't pass the T4 as we had to put up with two lots of kangaroos in which Dezzy thought would be much better to play with rather than track but we managed in the end which is the main thing :laugh:

what a weekend....Dezzy and myself passed our track 4 today at the German Shepherd trial and Tamika and Jessie passed their track 3 which they now have their tracking dog title....I am so proud of Dezzy and especially of Tamika and Jessie....my feet have not touched the ground yet
