  1. thanks so much Riddick.....we are so proud of our dogs and Dezzy about a month ago got his Tracking Dog title....we are hoping Tamika and Jessie get their Tracking Dog title....Jessie is very much a part of our family and we love her and Dezzy and our new dog Pink so much....they are great dogs
  2. thanks Korbin13...I am so very proud and Tamika really looks forward to tracking even though she has to get up at 6.30 am in the morning
  3. Dogs Victoria have done a wonderful article on the achievements of our special girl Zforce Sweet Surrender aka Jessie and Tamika....they have done so well to gain their passes and hopefully this season in tracking will also be successful for them....thanks to Dogs Victoria for doing such a wonderful story and to show that the American Staffordshire Terrier is one of the many wonderful breeds to own and be a part of our family :D
  4. thanks Kathq....i am still over the moon and am hoping Tamika and Jessie get their TD at the next trial but we have a few weeks of training beforehand so will help them to improve :D
  5. thats okay Tassie...we all had a good laugh
  6. thanks Tassie I am sure Tamika and Jessie will do great at the next trial....but Jordan was out riding his motorbike with his father....he doesn't do tracking with the dogs
  7. Just to let everyone know that myself and Dezzy passed our test 3 at the Knox trial on the weekend....unfortunately Jessie and Tamika did not pass but will get some practice in and have another go at the next trial...it just wasn't their day....we had beautiful food and went out to tea that Knox kindly put on for us all....was an excellent day and I am so proud of Dezzy obtaining his Tracking Dog Title ....also thanks to Knox who put on a fantastic weekend for us all
  8. great movie....saw it a while ago and loved it :)
  9. I had a few problems which am in the process of sorting out and yes the re-assessment was similar to the first one which wasn't too hard....glad to hear things calming down and hope Coop recovers from his op soon and your girls gets her appetite back :)
  10. seems like things are starting to settle down for u...Dezzy was reassessed in March and passed with flying colors and tomorrow we start going to see the kids....I can imagine u enjoy the theatre days especially with seeing the kids....they love the dogs and the dogs love them....I can't wait to see how he goes I am sure he will be okay because my son Jordan has taken him to his school which is a special school and it takes us about 2 hours to get out cause we have to go into every room...lol....hope things continue to go back to normal for u and ur family :)
  11. hope everyone has settled and everything back to normal...Dezzy is about to go to a new nursing home and every second week is going to work with disable kids which will be exciting...hoping everything going okay with you and your beautiful fur kids :D
  12. same here I use the coles scented nappy bags and when on a walk it never fails the three dogs seem to have to go and not small ones either....thank god for scented bags :D
  13. I personally think it is a terrific ad and there should be ads all around Australia like this one....good on the Townsville Council for having a go
  14. just thought I would post and say yes we have at last started tracking training for this season....Tamika and Jessie just jumped straight back into it and Jessie tracked like she had not had a break and we look forward to Tamika and Jessie gaining their first tracking title at the first trial....Dezzy did a good track last week but this week he decided to sight the article and then decided he would hunt and air scent...lol...I will need more practice with Dezzy but I am sure he will get back into the swing of things....I also have a new dog tracking and her name is Pink and she is also an Amstaff...Jessie is her aunty.....she has done 2 tracks and done them perfectly she is really getting to know what to do and cannot wait to get to the treat at the end of the track....hopefully we go out to Haddon soon but I don't think so with the weather so up and down so we are at Vic Park practicing which is an entirely different setting but it is still terrific to finally get out there and start tracking after our break...looking foward to this season very much :D
  15. some really fantastic pics...these are a couple I have...in the first one Jessie looks like the flying nun with those ears and in the second one Dezzy's eyes are nearly popping out of their sockets...lol
  16. Dezzy sleeps with my son on his bed....Jessie sleeps with my daughter on her bed and Pink sleeps in her crate or on the lounge if one of us is up or sick :D
  17. Hi tlc....yes we have a new addition to our family...she is Jessie's niece and yes will also become a tracking dog...lol...she was very destructive but has now settled down and has not had an accident in the house for about 4 weeks now....she is beautiful and we love her very much although Dezzy has had to put her in her place a few times but he does so with more noise than anything else...she is now 18 months old...hope u have a fantastic christmas....Cheers Lisa :D
  18. my three are getting the following :- Dezzy - was hard to buy for because he really doesn't like toys that much and he is not getting food cause I have a hard time keeping weight off him so we have decided on a wading pool for him cause he loves water Jessie - is getting a jolly ball with a rope that runs through it cause she loves balls and ropes Pink - is getting a new collar and lead...a new bed for her crate and a big thick rope cause Pink and Jessie love playing tug-o-war I thank god we have a crate as Pink I think would totally open every present (even ours) and destroy everything
  19. yes korbin 13 that is the way I have read it also...it is such a shame that comments like this are even printed but I suppose the media want to hype it up more than they should
  20. sorry for the intrude tlc...your dogs are so gorgeous and you are lucky you get to visit a hospital...they won't allow the dogs into the hospitals here....and you do feel like you are doing a great job when you get to see those patients with a big smile on their faces and how their faces light up when you walk in that door...keep up the great work
  21. thansk Snook...he really is a big gentle giant and absolutely loves going to visit the nursing homes...he goes absolutely silly when he sees my special polo top on and then barks all the way as soon as we back out of the driveway until we get to the nursing home...sometimes it is annoying because one of the nursing homes is over the other side of town and takes about 20 minutes to get there...lol
  22. thanks everyone...Dezzy is doing the Amstaffs proud and so is our other dog Jessie in that Tamika (my daughter) is the youngest child handler in Australia to have gained 2 very good passes in tracking with an Amstaff....Dezzy really loves his visits and certainly looks forward to the Friday visits where he gets more than his share of food which i compensate and he only gets half his tea that night...lol
  23. we too now have been involved with Delta for just over 12 months....we visit 2 nursing homes and have had some real hard times with residents passing but we take things in our stride and have pulled through....if we are late 5 minutes we get told off and asked where have we been...they all know when Dezzy is coming and get real aggitated if we are late (not that we are) we just go around the houses different ways...lol...our biggest success is a young guy who cannot do anything for himself...he cannot eat...dress himself or even feed himself....the guy actually calls out Dezzy's name...and when Dezzy gives him big kisses he laughs so hard he cries...on some occasions he takes about an hour to settle down crying because he wants Dezzy to come back to visit him...I have downloaded some pics of Dezzy waiting to go on a visit and a pic with one the residents he visits and a student....this lady in the pic absolutely loves Dezzy and she puts her face to Dezzy so she can get big kisses off him....she is 94 years old and we have to make sure that she is sitting before we bring in Dezzy because she gets that excited she starts to cry and shake she is so excited...it has been so rewarding and we still really look forward to our two days we visit our residents
  24. You are not wrong Mason Gibbs our dogs can save us in many ways
  25. gee that is great K9's-mum....i also have a disabled son and Dezzy actually alerts us to when he is having a seizure in his sleep...I suppose that is saving my son as he keeps on barking until we go and check on him
