  1. They are gorgeous! We had a litter with similar looks last year and they grew to be very large dogs :D
  2. Here is the one-day-old photo. All are doing very well and gaining heaps of weight every day. Elly races outside to do her business, then races back into the bathroom to them - heaven help the cat if he gets in her way, LOL! I'll take more photos today now that they're a week old.
  3. This is Elly, who we rescued last Tuesday. She whelped yesterday (Friday) and she is a very attentive little mum: Our information via the Wagga grapevine is that Elly is six years old and this is her sixth litter Now it will be her last! Janey
  4. Ruby's puppies, now in video! Puppy video 1 Puppy video 2 They are now 11 weeks old, weigh over 10kg each , and are eating Brooke out of house and home. No adoption yet for any of them, sadly.
  5. OMG Janey that is my area! Patrol that park at least once a week for work :) will keep an eye out :) Too funny, Emma! You will probably see her, the woman is quite active and Ruby will have at least 2 walks per day. Email me!
  6. Ruby was adopted yesterday by a fantastic retired couple who will love and spoil her forever. Any DOLers who live near the oval at St Ives Chase may spot her there having walkies if you're out and about at dawn :D Very unusual for mum to get adopted before any of her puppies though!
  7. Ruby's puppies turned 8 weeks old last week, so now we're taking applications for adoption! We've already got a fantastic applicant for Ruby Here are the puppies: Zirconia (girl 1) Opal (girl 2) Sapphire (girl 3) Jasper (boy 1) Copper (boy 2) Onyx (boy 3) Topaz (boy 4) Garnet (Boy 5)
  8. Remember Buffy, the little brown dog who whelped in GRAS 3 months ago? A family from Randwick have applied to adopt a female puppy. They want to drive out to Wagga next weekend to choose one of the three girls, so I need a homecheck done before then so they can take the chosen one home with them. Anyone near Randwick, please? Janey
  9. The boys at 25 days old: Boy 1: Boy 2: Boy 3: Boy4: Boy 5:
  10. More puppy pix! Here's Ruby feeding them, at 28 days old: Girl 1 Girl 2 all 3 girls:
  11. For those who may not have heard the good news -- Anthony has been discharged from hospital in Sydney and is recovering at home
  12. Hee hee, glad to share the 'virtual puppy breath'. Here's what Ruby has to put up with every day: Brooke says at 11 days old, their eyes are starting to open but she hasn't been able to get pics of their eyes yet. Soon
  13. Girl 1 - 7 days old and 725 g: Girl 2 - 7 days old and 720 g: Girl 3 - 7 days old and 720 g: Boy 1 - 7 days old and 400 g: Boy 2 - 7 days old and 725 g: Boy 3 - 7 days old and 660 g : Boy 4 - 7 days old and 720 g:
  14. We received a letter as well and all it raised was questions. Who are the committee members and what experience does each of them have in rescue? Does the executive have the political savvy (and connections) to engage meaningfully with "all levels of government" (lol). What consultation have they donewith rescue groups to find out what we actually want? Lots of talk about transparency in rescue, with none from themselves. I don't have time for this stuff, we're too busy actually rescuing.
  15. Spoke with Brooke last night, Daisy is a great mum. She says the puppies are gaining at least 10% per day and already weigh in the region of 600g, with the girls all bigger than the boys  One week old tomorrow, more pix soon.
  16. The doctors in Sydney have diagnosed Anthony's illness and commenced treatment of it. We all wish him a speedy recovery - he is such a caring young man who goes out of his way to help the Griffith poundies go home or get rescued. Janey
  17. Puppy photos, all at 1 day old: Puppy pile! Girl 3 Girl 2 Boy 5 Boy 3 Daisy's paw and tiny puppy paws Girl 1 Brooke reports that all puppies are increasing in weight by 10% per day
  18. Daisy from Yass Pound, now called Ruby, has whelped eight (yes 8) puppies on Wednesday night. There are five males and three females. Quite a mixed bag of colours - brindles, white with black spots, and a dark grey & white girl. Some even have ridges. Both fur mum and foster mum are doing just fine More photos will be put up as time allows.
  19. For me, the "page doesn't exist" problem occurs every time I click the bump button before the 'edit listing' page has fully loaded. If I wait a few seconds to allow the page to load completely before clicking bump, I have no problem. Click too quickly though and pow! I mostly use Firefox but it happens with IE, Opera and Chrome as well.
  20. Hi Jaid, Your desire to help is commendable and whichever group you choose to help will appreciate it, I'm sure! Katrina from CVAR has written a blog post about how to find a pet which includes advice on picking a rescue group, which will give you some more pointers in what to look for. Go to http://www.headingforhome.asn.au and the link is on the front page. Cheers, Janey
  21. Anyone near Mt Colah who could do a homecheck for a Malt X Shihtzu puppy, please PM me. Cheers, Janey
  22. Yes it was good to see the other groups there, but the lack of attendance was so very disappointing! We sold some raffle tickets for the dog goodies basket - mostly to other exhibitors LOL - but had no adoption enquiries, no foster carer interest, no member signups, and only a few dollars in donations. The day was topped off for us by a dust devil that blew over our stall. The stall awning now has a broken leg
  23. Our enquiry numbers have plummeted from several per day to only 2-3 per week since the new PR, and I've spoken with several other rescue groups in the Riverina who report the same thing. I suspect that the ability to restrict the search results by postcode is having a severe impact on every group that isn't in a densely populated area. It doesn't matter that transport is readily available if the potential adopters never even see our dogs' profiles
