  1. i'll be there about 10.30, daughter has excused me from her soccer! will be bringing my neighbours beagle too, that i've got for the day, so will have 4 on board, leaving little disney at home. see you all soon!
  2. normally 11am, depending on the weather and how many people, normally lasts around 1 to 2 hours?
  3. just found out my daughter has an extra soccer game sunday at 11am! so will be going up early 10, for a while , if anyone wants to play with my three? will be heading out to the dally funday at castle hill in the afternoon, busy ,busy!
  4. i only live 5 mins away from the park and can always meet midweek too. i have 4 here, all very friendly, so anytime just pm me and i'llpop up.
  5. thanks everyone, appollo is now back home, as soon as he saw us he started to "talk" and didn't stop all the way home! jodie, do you have to get the urine checked regularly, i'm really concerned now that this is going to be a recurring problem and at over $2000, its causing me a bit of stress! the stones have been sent away to be analysed, to USA.( at least that was free) my main concern now is avoiding it again, so am going to start to gather as much info as poss on this. just glad to have him back, think he has weed on every bit of grass since he got back
  6. yes, he's ok. managed the second time under general ,to push it back up, then removed it, there were 3 stones altogether. have been sent away to see what type.he is still in hospital, with drip, and catheter , as his wall lining is very inflamed, possibly been thrashing around in there a while. went to visit him last night, and he was still sleepy, but lifted his head, nice and cosy with his heated wrap around him. will know more today. going to read up on dally stones, so i can see how to avoid this happening again. thanks to everyone for advice and support, really appreciate it.
  7. thanks sl, gives me a good idea the. she was a very competant vet, new all about it, just that she said she had done lots of these ops, but not in the position its in at the moment. they are a big animal hospital, think they have about 4 around sydney, so i suppose they will get the one most experienced for this? here's hoping it goes ok and it can be shifted a bit in the morning.
  8. think we may have to go with them as its urgent, although was thinking about ringing zammit? has a good reputation . just a bit worried as when i fetched him she said they would try again to flush it back further , and when i asked if it was operable in the position it is in, she said she would have to get another surgeon as it was a tricky spot ( in the tube?) so she didn't feel comfortable .so a bit of a dilemma as to stick with them, or cart him around? he's home now, still unhappy and trying to pee.
  9. suppose its worth asking, anyone know what is reasonable for this surgery? have quoted me$1500. not including today which is$500. thanks
  10. well, just heard, she tried moving the stone, but under sedation can not get it to free . so drained the urine out. stones not showing on ordinary exray( after reading dally report expected this). so going to get him now, as they don't have staff there to operate today, so as long as he doesn't drink too much tonight he will be ok. just means the surgery is more urgent tommorrow, was hoping to ring around and get a better price, but may have no choice( oh is furious), may have to use them. will let you know how we go.
  11. he's at the vet. yes stone, probably lodged in his penis. they are giving him exrays, blood test and then going to try pushing it back up? then if all goes well, he will need surgery to remove them tommorrow.have to call at 4.30pm to see how he is, and hope to bring him home. she said i might like to ring round to get a better price to remove the stones as they are the most expensive vets around. just the only ones open today. not my normal vet. but very new equipped hospital , so hope he will be ok. she has warned me it could rupture .so sad without my top dog here, the other boys are looking for him will keep you all posted, thanks for the support, will read the link now gm, thanks.
  12. my dally has got up this morning and can't wee. he keeps trying and nothing is happening, should i rush him to the vet? ( double time this morning) or wait? is there anything i can give to flush him out? any advice please
  13. i think the problem is that everyone elses dogs are friendly and will all play together, and your attitude is that we all have to keep our dogs away from yours or else. perhaps at a smaller meet this is possible, and with people who are willing to abide by your demands. if you can keep him at the far end, fine our dogs will stay away, but don't go off if the odd one comes over for a nose. i don't understand what you want to achieve in bringing him to something he is obviosly not suited too? this is not a training session for your dog, at the expense of our dogs fun.
  14. perhaps we could have 2 meets, sat for those with perfect recall and sundays for those who's dogs just wanna have fun ( which i thought was the idea)
  15. and i think dogs that aren't "reliable" towards other dogs in an offlead situation, shouldn't be there . the idea of the dol meet is for us all to get to know each other and socialize our dogs, perhaps you could add to the title only dogs with relaible recall are allowed to attend :
  16. perhaps we'll give it a miss then as i get p#@* ed off with people who take dogs to offlead parks that aren't friendly and then get cross with other dogs having fun, try recalling 10-20 dogs all having fun away from one grump. no thanks
  17. myszka, may be tricky, the park is literally a free for all, may be good idea to get there early , so just one arrival at a time, will be a bit tricky to stop lots of dogs running around playing and not ending up next to you? any ideas anyone? freya, she did say someone came up to her to introduce herself, she is also deaf, so i have to stand in front to talk to her, still don't know her name! saw gimlys haircut this morning, home job! will keep inviting people along!
  18. i told a lady i meet in the mornings about the meet, turns out she went on saturday, has a snauzer, gimly, said she enjoyed it, met a lovely staffy in a pink jumper! will get her to tag along next time.
  19. love to, but when you work for yourself no one pays you to have a sicky! no worries will catch you all soon.
  20. will see you all in july as i work saturdays, unless anyone wants to pick my gang up and take them!
