  1. i tell new owners adopting my fosters to buy on the net, use priceless pets and vetnpet direct. i have at least 4/5 big dogs here most of the time, ( rescue doesn't cover flea, heart etc), so its very costly for me ,have to go with the cheapest
  2. a friend of mine has just rung me to ask what she should do about her pup weeing on its bed! it sleeps outside on a tramp bed, but it wee's on it, she is constantly cleaning it, she uses vinegar to get rid of the smell, but she keeps doing it. am listening to all your suggestions to give her
  3. i was also recommended to put a pinch of bicarb in his food everyday to level out the ph, so have been doing that too. suppose the males have more of a problem as they can't "pass' any stones out, whereas females could. thats where our problem happened.
  4. my dally got a stone stuck last year and had to have emergency op. i had no idea about stones till this happened, i am now well read on it! i contacted lots of dally people, i now feed him supercoat special care. my vet had recommended one they sell, think it was hills, but spoke to one person whose dog still had the problem after feeding it. spoke to another who had fed special care for years with no recurring problem. its the purine's you need to keep low, be careful. not all veggies are"good". i have a list somewhere, on good and bad veggie's for them. i actually have all my dogs on supercoat now, they have never looked so good
  5. thanks, dd, just need to know where to go to get started around here? sidoney?
  6. have just found this thread, as my heeler x "oz" herds my dogs continually, while out on our walks he lays down waiting for them to run past with his head right on the floor and then chases them ,lunging up at them as they go past, he stays close by me all the time, and he also "stalks "them. he was from the pound as a pup, i believe his 2 sisters are herding? how do i go about getting started to see if he would be any good? do you think he would be too rough for sheep, he lunges at my 2, at their head as they go past,?has caught my wei on the ear once ,and god did it bleed any advice appreciated, would love him to do something he enjoys.
  7. the very expensive vet behind us is open till 11pm every night if you need a wormer
  8. how about getting o dogwash to come do her after work as they dry them too, might have to warn them on the state of her though, and deflea her first.
  9. i know how hard you struggled with this decision,he is safe now, you made a better thing for him than his owners ever did, take care, thinking of you today
  10. nic is a client of mine who has become a friend too, today my oh found a grass parrot baby while out walking our dogs and brought it home. nic is a wire's carer, but it was xmas day? so i rang her anyway, she came straight over and took the baby bird home to care for it. she mentioned "sheema" her old mal was a bit off this morning had been sick and was hiding at the end of the garden and digging? i told her to ring the vet, even just to get advice. had a text at luchtime to say he was on a drip at the vet, dehydrated, possibly a bowel infection. got another text at 7pm tonight to say they had lost him at 6pm this boy was her life, she can't have children and he was everything to them, she had recently bought a ramp to help him get in the back of their 4 wheel drive, they took him camping , everywhere with them. she saved a baby bird today ,but couldn't help her boy, seems so unfair on xmas day too.
  11. think the next one is a saturday? so won't make it.first of the month? unless we are doing a special xmas one? i know a few were talking of moving it to somewhere with shade etc, not sure if this got any further? i know i won't be going up there again on a sunday, as i'm sick of the lady with the 2 huskys who keep attacking all my boys! ( not a doler).
