  1. There's a marketplace on DOL in the Off Topic section that you can sell that sort of stuff in
  2. Court ran into overtime and day two is being held on the 23rd. No news yet.
  3. That's the only one on the list I don't have. Stupid time zones, everyone else had beaten me to it while I was sleeping! Me too I am seriously considering buying it from Clean Run, as well as the book, if they can give me a better deal on postage than $40.48 Maybe when I've finished with it, you can have it. :D Ooooh, totally jealous lol!!
  4. NOOOO. I've been looking for Control Unleashed
  5. I wonder if it's easy to train a dog to do that. So far all I can manage is when I bounce up and down with my hands in the air Hugo tries to copy me. I couldn't possibly imagine doing a routine with him. How do they even remember an entire routine??
  6. I think maybe General would give this thread wider exposure?
  7. *covers Hugo's ears* No baby, Corvus didn't call you fat! I wonder if there's a way to lengthen the straps actually.. like unstitching and sewing on extra length. The harnesses are pricey, I certainly don't feel like he needs another one
  8. Why is Erik so much smaller than Hugo!? I bought Hugo that size because I thought "a male vallhund is a male vallhund" and he's 15.5 kilos and already grown out of it..
  9. Yep, the webmaster ones are great! You don't need to worry about exact sizing, they're adjustable to quite a degree.
  10. We buy Comfortis and halve the tablets as well to cut down on costs in general You don't have to do this only when he's a puppy, you can do it throughout his life!
  11. Hugo has been on BH for a while now, including the sample bag that we had. He is eating fine nowadays but I also have to mention that his yeast infection (or at least what we think was a yeast infection) between his legs has cleared up and disappeared! He's been having this problem for pretty much the entirety of this year, we went to the vet and they prescribed something to help clear it up (might have been antibiotics or something), but that didn't work at all, and since it hadn't been causing him any problems (he wasn't licking the spot or itching at it and he didn't seem to be in discomfort), we decided to leave it alone. But I actually took a good look today (yes, at my dog's crotch) while I was giving him his bellyrubs and there's... no more red staining! Could this possibly be from the food change? Maybe something in the food is really agreeing with him?
  12. (Offtopic, but..) Oh shit, I just made a mental note not to buy any more of their products because they do animal testing but lo and behold my beloved Head and Shoulders shampoo is on that list and I can't bear to suffer dandruff by not using it
  13. Both DFA and DFS are US-based, so they are half helpful and half not helpful. I've read that Nutro over there and Nutro in Aus have completely different ingredients in their dog food and that's why it's considered an "above average" food here but have a horrible review on the DFS site. They also don't seem to say why they give the food the rating that they do (other than a sweeping statement at the start before they bring out the list of foods). That's not so helpful at all. There was a good thread on DOL a long time ago that had a dog food rating guide which was pretty cool (something like "if it contains meat, +1 to the score, garlic +1 to the score--that's just an example by the way, I don't remember what was actually written).
  14. Eyes look fine, elbows look fine, hips look a little high but I am comparing them against my own dog whose parents have an average (together) of 2:3, and they are Swedish Vallhunds.. It depends on the breed.
  15. Sounds like the right stuff..just strange that the shop is not listed as a supplier. It is strange how your dog liked the sample, but is picking at the bigger bag. You could always compare the ingredients list with that on your sample if you still have the packet. I know my pup used to hoover it down, & now he eats it as if he is savouring every mouthful. I also use it for treats. The ingredients are the same, I think it has to do with how available we make food for him now. I've been trying to do the thing where you only leave the food bowl for 15 minutes before taking it away but before i even realise it, my mother's taken it off the shelf and put it back on the floor. Ah, the joys of raising a dog when there are two conflicting ideologies in the household.
  16. It's just a plain white bag with like a small panel with a picture and ingredients on the front. I'm at uni right now so I can't take a photo exactly. It's the same size (kibble-wise, I mean) as the sample pack?
  17. $1 cheaper....wow The one I contacted through this forum quoted $90 for the food because it would be freighted to me. handy if you live close by.... *shrugs* most people would spend that on fuel just getting there Julana seems to do a Northside delivery every month or so... Saves the courier anyway I live Southside so it's fine for me When the sale ends though I'll have to go through Julana because it will be cheaper through her (including freight).Have to say, Hugo hoovered the sample pack but he's sort of ... bored with it now, he's not eating with gusto now that we've switched over properly. He doesn't have to "eat with gusto", he just has to eat and if he's taking ages it could be that you've given him too much in one go. I think humans get more bored with the dog food than the dogs do. Mine get BH almost every day for dinner but they get a raw morning meal (usually a chicken drumstick each) and occasionally they get a raw evening meal instead of kibble. Only one of mine is a fast eater, one is positively slow but when I ran out of BH and gave him something else, he was even slower and ended up leaving most of it. Whe I got more BH, he was back to his slow and steady pace. I also use BH pieces as treats and they are just as happy with that as they are anything more "exciting". Oh, no, I meant like he's picking up one piece, a moving to the other side of the room to eat it and then not returning for 5 minutes to pick up another piece.

  20. I love Hugo's halti It was instantly effective, very nice, but the problems reoccurred when I took the halti off so I am endeavouring to train him to walk by my side using a clicker. So far after a couple of hard weeks of work, we've progressed to loose leash walking with pulling only when there's another dog on the horizon and I'm pretty happy with that.
  21. I got some BH today from that Brisbane pet store that someone posted a few pages ago. They have a sale on, 20KG for $84--cheaper than through the BH supplier herself!
  22. Thank you! It was starting to bother me that people don't know about this awesome resource. This is the best place you're going to find books. I mean it compares prices for you, how much better can you get??
  23. Come on, you've met me in person and you know what I'm like without being colored by your present prejudice against me, grow up a little why don't you... You said "general population", you didn't say anything about Australia. And I am willing to bet a lot of those images of dogs fighting are from the US anyways. I think it's highly unlikely that there are "more than 50% of the population" in Australia who are tattooed and yet only 16% of Americans have tattoos. That seems like a hugely skewed amount, you need to keep in mind that we're all humans at the end of the day, a little cultural difference is not going to result in an increase in tattooing by 34% or more. Anyways, that's irrelevant, my point was that your friend shouldn't be using copyrighted material to be making a promotional video for the American Pit Bull Terrier.
