  1. Yep Molly and Cooper love nothing more than bitey face and GSDs are vocal!!!!!
  2. I have 2 dogs and 1 of them is an absolute wreck with storms. I've just had a consult with a veterinary behaviourist so she is medicated among other things
  3. Different but I found out today my credit card has been used in Paris, London and Melbourne Thank goodness somebody at ANZ was doing their job and noticed. They apparently will investigate but I have no sodding idea how this happened
  4. A bit like TrinaBean, my Cooper (now 2) had vacinosis after his second puppy shot (he was due for a third). We skipped it and titered both dogs. So for the last 2 years I've titered and both dogs immunity has been fine.
  5. I have been feeding as a supplement the K9 Naturals freeze dried lamb green tripe and both dogs love it and their coats are softer and shinier than ever before!
  6. Welcome, I hope to learn lots via your future posts on GSDs please! :)
  7. My GSD female was on Prozac for around 6 months. I will have to check the mg. It worked well for her as she is highly anxious but when I left my home and fiancée, I guess I changed and she is so perceptive that she seemed a lot calmer. So she was able to be weaned off. Now she only gets a couple of 1 mg Xanax during storms.
  8. I am so deeply sorry Keeping you in my thoughts ((hugs))
  9. Yes I would try pumpkin too, it works both ways for some weird reason! My girl was a bit the same this morning so she had pumpkin with her dinner.
  10. Actually I have no idea. His new hip should technically be damn close to perfect. However I have no need to know his scores (he was going to be my IPO dog but now that's not going to happen).
  11. Ray Ferguson is great, he is involved with Pennhip scoring. And yes you did read right, he said if he was scoring Coops hips they would be in the 80-90 range
  12. Oh yah that is great news! Cooper's hips are in the 80-90 range!
  13. Thank you and I hope you get some positive feedback/ideas re your dog.
  14. Cooper is a mess, he can walk and needs to (build muscle mass) but he was 10 months old when diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. He had his right side done in Feb of this year and will have the left side replaced early next year. His breeder does all the health checks possible and he is a Working Line, just unlucky. But if he plays or runs too much, he needs pain relief and is a wreck for a couple of days. So it's just managing him at this stage.
  15. Ok I'm certainly not an expert but the hips look fairly good to me. The positioning is not perfect. As an example here is my now 2 year old male GSD. He needs another total hip replacement on the left side next year. But just for comparison for you. I would email the xrays you have to a couple of specialists for their opinion.
  16. Sending best wishes for Noodles recovery :)
  17. My boys specialists said that yes they do have great success with FHO for smaller dogs. Cooper had to have a THR and that was around $8000 but his recovery has been super fast although next year he will have the other side done Wishing you both all the best.
  18. I am so pleased you recognised the signs and got him in! Sending best wishes for a speedy, smooth recovery for your boy ((hugs))
  19. I'm not 'from' as such but I do transport/homechecks for them if I can help pass a message on? NB: I only get on here once a night.
  20. Oh Jelly, I can barely see my screen through the tears. I wish there was a magic button to press and you could feel better but as you know with great love, comes the great loss. I also wish I was better with words but Roo will always be with you and your huge sacrifice made her better. Sending so many huge gentle supportive hugs and thoughts to you xo
  21. Oh Jelly What a precious bond you shared. My thoughts are with you (((hugs)))
