  1. Congrats, Kinkykaters. . . . . . I have a twin sister. Born seven minutes after me. Always (still do) called her "The Afterbirth"! Bonz
  2. Spanky was named after Spanky Mcfarland from the old Our Gang movies. Bonz
  3. They have the regular (stinky) ones too, minimax. Bonz
  4. "After many requests from customers for odor-free bully sticks, we've found them! From a new supplier, these sticks are virtually odorless (you'd have to get "awfully close" to smell them). Residual moisture (and water) amplify the odor of bully sticks. This new supplier dries the sticks longer than usual, which results in a product with almost zero moisture-or odor. These bully sticks are all natural. Unlike other bully stick producers, which often use bleach to remove odor, absolutely no chemicals are used on these chews. They're just like all Best Bully Sticks products: healthy, safe, and delicious!" Bonz
  5. Odor Free Bully Sticks by Best Bully Sticks I don't know if they ship overseas. But, these are high quality sticks! Many members at my cocker forum rave about them. http://www.bestbullysticks.com/home/bbs/smartlist_159/odor_free_bully_sticks.html Bonz
  6. Not only are your aunt's dogs at risk, so is your aunt. Unfortunately, I think it's time to insist she moves. Good luck. Bonz
  7. My Spanky doesn't have much of a "goop" problem. But, whenever he has hard goop under his eyes, I just pull (not scrape) it off, using my nails (thumb & forefinger). After I flick the goop off my fingers, he always wants to lick them clean. Since he never fliches or complains, I know it doesn't hurt him. I don't try washing or softening the goop. So, nothing gets in his eyes to cause irritation. Doesn't solve any eye problems... just the clean up. Bonz
  8. My sister named her daughter after a poodle we had in our teens! Bonz
  9. Chocolate = Liver Brits call them liver, and Americans call them chocolates. Chocolate is recessive, but common. At the (USA based) Cocker forum I belong to, there are as many chocolates as any other color. Cockers are, by breed standard, "merry". I rarely read posts about personality problems. (It isn't like in the 50's-60's, where they were bred indiscriminately to supply the high demand caused by "Lady and the Tramp"!) Some rescues, due to their prior living/life conditions, may have behavior problems. Most recover nicely once fostered and re-homed! Bonz
  10. Carry a can of bug killer with you. They spray a directed stream a far distance! Bonz
  11. It's been a long time now. But, my cousin finished the race twice. The mushers need sponsors. It's very expensive! Bonz
  12. It's all trial & error with each dog. But here's a site to check out: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/ Good Luck. Bonz

  15. What's wrong with using clippers? They're cheap, easy and quick. Bonz
  16. I cut Spanky's nails last night for the 1st time. He gave me a big kiss after! I'm not afraid anymore... Bonz
  17. My groomer cuts them for free. Bonz

  19. Almost all the members at the Am. Cocker Spaniel forum I belong use Coat Handler Leave-in Conditioner. It dilutes 15:1. They swear by it! I will be ordering/trying it myself in the near future. //www.senproco.com/coathandler/index.html I dunno if shipping charges may deter you from ordering it from the US though. Bonz
