  1. Easy pesy, just crate them and meet them at the other end with big cuddles!! They stress a lot less then we think they do :)
  2. What about a cairn? (A big dog in a small body) dosnt drop hair around the place either!!
  3. Some breeders find it convinant for pet people to home breeding girls and do all the hard work, then swoop in, take half the 'profits' and a pup too sometimes. This is somthing I totally disagree with... Other times things are for other reasons they cannot have the litter at their place, for ex moving, aggressive animal, illness of themselves or family member etc If things do not feel good to you find another breeder :)
  4. Totally awesome!! These videos never get old!!!
  5. Cut the legs of a pair of panty hose(or maybe your little girls tights since cairns are weeny small :D ) and put around her tummy with pads between the cabbage and the pantyhose to give a bit more support to the leaves. I learnt this from BilboBaggins when we had a shocking mastitis last year :D love DOL Yup did this, but she was like WTH??! And tore/rubbed it off..so I got a wide bandage and bandaged them on, got photos too...lol!! Worked, she's great now!! Lol Will upload some pics from big computer later today. Pups are a week old and fat wee wombats, mummy is sooo awesome, she retires after this litter to live the life of a spoiled pup of our very own DOL Megz nana :D
  6. At 3weeks who knows?! A white spot is nothing, what about conformation, bite , expression and ears.....they are the important stuff!
  7. Then: Oh what breed is that Me: a cairn terrier Them: a CARN terrier or Cairns terrier Me: NO a cairn..like Toto in the wizard of oz. Them: ohhhhhh
  8. Grade one and she wants to OPERATE??? (shes not just out of vet school is she? wow, thats crazy..I bet she pushed really hard too...
  9. Report her for what?! Omg, she doesn't have a magic ball..it's not like she planned it, sometimes genetic stuff crops up Unfortunatly, even when you do your darn best to avoid.... Give her a break and talk to her
  10. Hi, sorry to hear about your baby. I would wait at LEAST 6 months if it was parvo...if not longer and cover every inch of your lawn with lime.
  11. I worry about this happening most days..we have a black cat (not sure whose) around here with a death wish...
  12. Yup, have been rearranging them, they seem to feed well at least :)
  13. some sad news in here today, so sorry for all those who lost wee ones My girl seems to be getting Mastitis..her boobs are rock and lumpy. Ive started giving her some antibiotics and have twice today wrapped cabbage leaves over her boobs while she was outside for 20 mins and pups were asleep. Shes still feeding well, and eating well, but they feel AWEFUL... Anyother ideas? Is ther any easier way to keep the leaves on her boobs? Ive bandaged them on..could I make a poutice or somthing and put it in muslin to fit over better? Idea?
  14. Oh noooo OsS Bugga How's the wee one Becks?
  15. Ok watch some. What are the rules, are you allowed thinning shears and scissors for some parts? Are you allowed to use any tools? Do you have to belong to a grooming centre to do these comps? What is the time frame allowed to get it done?
