I wasn't impressed at all with German judge either He was SO rough looking at my sibes mouths- he counted (outloud may I add) every tooth! and practically had his whole hand in my boys mouth Also barely looked at dogs on side stack (didnt even get to set up). Also he said no brushes/combs in the ring to the afghans FCI judge.

Boxers don't have smelly coats either We have visitors around alot and they always comment how lovely Bondi's coat is and how clean she is- and they all assume I bath her lots Bondi would be lucky to get 3 baths a year But that said, she is an inside dog.. she just doesn't get dirty Booker gets bathed for shows- nice and easy. Working at the kennels, I definately think certain breeds have more smelly coats.... labradoodle/cavoodley things come to mind! But the MOST smelly dog we ever had in was a Bergamasco (dreadlocks) dog that we shipped to USA... he stunk!!!

Not this year I don't think? We are on the 1st. We are usually the group that is split- which I don't mind-means we get to go back to watch general specials :D But not this year, unless we win something

I work at a kennels, and although cleaned daily, disinfected before and after cleaning- some dogs are just "dirty" dogs and insist on marking walls, beds etc and then laying on them or rubbing on the wall. Also if the dog is in a concrete pen and wees, then runs through it- it will smell like urine. Alot of dogs don't wait to be taken out to excersise before they wee, and males especially go on a marking frenzy when around other dogs.

Booker would love a playdate (with anyones pup if anyone is keen ) I want him to get to play with other pups too- he is very gentle for a puppy (I think it is because Bondi doesn't wrestle with him- they just play chasey) and when he got together with his siblings at the show they were beating him up, but he didn't mind Apparently i have turned him soft, but he loves every dog he sees Half considering skipping his show to have puppy playdate instead!

Mr Booker had his first show today (was going to scratch him so his first show would be boxer specialty, but decided to show him today as he was there anyway) He was better behaved than I expected (no wrestling around on the floor so the judge could examine him, he stood pretty still ) and although he jumped around abit running around the ring, we did manage to get him to gait nicely part of the way He was happy in confident in the ring so I'm very pleased with him. Back to do it all again at the Boxer specialty tomorrow :D

I'm showing the 2 sibes in the UDC show tomorrow and bringing Booker along for an outing to get him used to showgrounds before his first show sunday. So come and get puppy cuddles :D
