I don't mind if my own dog does not sure about strangers though lol.. I definately don't find it disgusting but then I don't sit there and let him go to town , just a couple of licks is enough for me..

I had thought of debarking but I have heard so many negative things re cruelty I was hesitant to suggest that.. I will mention it as I think people need to be aware of all the alternatives available.. Thank you everyone for your information :-) -

Thank you Hollysmummy I'll ring them.. -
This came up on my news feed in FB, I can PM people the ladies name or pass on your phone number or can someone give me a name of a rescue for her, I don't know much about rehoming etc.. i Everyone. I have received a big bad notice from the Brisbane City Council that there have been too many complaints about my dogs - in particular Brandy who barks at strangers walking past and is creating a noise nuisance. So I have until mid-Dec to 'correct her' but although I've spent almost $700 covering up the gate and verandah railings, buying electric shock collars and new batteries, even a muzzle and joining Bark Busters nothing seems to be working. Mid-December I will be given a fine if anyone complains again, then 28 days after that, I'll get another fine and the dogs will be "removed". My yard is tiny and I live in a built up area with lots of flats, and even though I walk them x 2 each day, I can't stop them barking altogether especially when I'm at work. If you know of anyone who has some acre-age and would love two very gorgeous and lovable collie dogs could you ask them if there might be interested. They are really healthy, love people and live outside but also inside now we live in the city. I will miss them enormously as I've had them for 7 years but I can't do much more... Thanks.

I just don't feel comfortable about being around dogs I don't know and near me people just don't seem to have a clue so I will not risk it.. I drive past my local one and they stand in a group with their backs to the dogs chatting away.. I hear too many stories.. I did a search the other day as a friend wanted me to meet her at one and I found myself in a forum for a few different dog parks and the stories were dreadful re attacks .. Maybe find some of those and show your friend esp scary for a small delicate breed and not to mention only being a puppy :-(

Our First Hot Spot Of The Season :(

I have had Neem Oil spray recommended to me which I bought for clipper burn that worked beautifully.. Rogue has a hotspot beside his ear so I'll be using it on that.. It was amazing for cliperburn, I bought it online, also got neem oil soap but you can buy that in liquid form I just wanted to try it first and it is lovely.. -
Great post Megan totally agree ..

Sounds like your pup is one lucky guy ( gal sorry cant remember if you said the sex :-). I will just say I would crate train this early as its easier when young and they like the Den feel.. Rogue was in a crate from day one and he loves his crate now , really comes in handy when we go camping and we live in Brisbane :-) Anyway good luck :-)

I'd squirt the neighbor with the water pistol why should his actions dictate when you can and cannot walk your dog ..

Stopped A Dog Attack This Morning...

What a terrible thing to witness and be involved in.. Glad you were not hurt :-).. Scary stuff goodluck with whatever action you choose to take ...... -
Maybe she just needs to be told , you said its a small club , I would imagine everyone else knows to stay away.. Sometimes things that are obvious to some are not so obvious to others.. Hope Zorro is OK :-) having another dog have a go at your dog is very unsettoing..

Wobbly get a life you have taken what I said and turned it into something horrendous shame on you. I actually said and mean that I was going to enjoy reporting the BREEDER.. I will thank you though as I really did not think that the puppies would be put to death, I was under the assumption they would have been desexed so they could not mate..I'm going to ring just to verify this as you sound like a drama queen so I am eager to hear the truth.. I will also add that We can all pretend that these pups would have gone to happy , loving homes but the reality is they more than likely would not have , but hey who cares about that.. To the op I am so very sorry if my comments hurt you, upset you, I did not mean to and I am definately nothing like this person has me made out to be, quite laughable really if this person actually knew me .. Cheers..

Rogue does this also.. just lovely :-)

Wow hello..I would of thought us being in QLD they would've been desexed and i would have asked that question first, but you can presume i am heartless .. Anyway the sign was removed.. My intension was not callous it was to report someone for breeding this type of dog with more than likely no regard to whom they sold them to...and what they became.. I am not callous I love animals.. You have jumped to the wrong conclusion and I find you insulting and rude......... You'd love to be responsible for having a litter of puppies killed? (what else do you think will happen to that litter if you report it? If he can't get homes for them his only option is to have them PTS) People's callous attitude towards animals never ceases to amaze me, I didn't expect to see it in a puppy subforum though. I really have no words. What are you actually doing on dog lovers forum anyway? Since you wrote that yesterday morning I assume you have already reported it. Sleep well tonight mumof4girls, secure in the knowledge you have done your best to ensure a litter of innocent puppies will be denied the chance of a loving home and so will almost certainly be put down. R8chel is clearly a responsible owner as evidenced by the fact she is asking for advice om a dog forum, and has subsequently done the research to find a behaviourist - no easy task when you live in a regional area. The dog is obviously a beloved pet, with an owner determined to do the right thing by him, and he deserves a chance. Yes he's restricted, I'm sure she knows that. And if by some strange chance she didn't it's been pointed out numerous times already. She's asking for behaviour advice, not legal advice. Edited (for about the 50th time) this time to add: sorry if I seem harsh Lavendergirl, but the post prior to yours has really upset me.

I put mine in his run and we go for a good hour walk each morning and afternoon, he is then tired whilst I am at work and he sleeps most of the day. I think in your dogs case just basic training isn't enough. I also take rogue to obediance training and agility training through the week so he gets out with other dogs and we socialise and burn off energy. I think the behaviourists are a great way to go. I had a trainer come out for 5 sessions spread right out when rogue was 14 weeks , he was fantastic in the early days really set us up.. All dogs are different some quiet little lambs others have more drive, bigger personalities more dominent which means more work, time and patience.. It can be done, I work full time and have 4 children you just have to make time and be committed.. Rogue tries it on but it doesnt take much to remind him who is boss so to speak and he is 11mths old also. Let us know how the behaviourist goes would be interesting what tools he /she gives you :-)
-
Sounds like you need a behaviourist to come out ASAP.. I'm sure more experienced people will have more to say on this...

I have shared the Facebook page, hope they find this little one soon ..
