  1. He had his microchip put in about 5-6wks ago before we got him at 8 wks of age. We only noticed the lump about 8 days ago but it may of been smaller before and we didnt notice it. I know it seems a bit extreme but we can really only go on what the vet says, also the breeder we spoke to last nite said she would probably get it removed too. It has gotten really hard over the weekend, and with the microchip scanner it is right in the middle of the lump. I also thought it may of been a reaction to his vac but its a diff kind of lump to a 'abnormal reaction' ( or whatever term you use)
  2. Hi there Last week our 13week old LAB puppy developed a lump on his back/neck..........took him to the vet. They say its a reaction to his microchip. We kept an eye on it over the weekend but it hadnt got any smaller, it is a pretty hard ball like lump about the size of a 20c piece. It doesnt seem to be bothering him hes still his usual puppy self. So they are going to remove it tomorrow with surgery. Has anyone else had to do this and how did they react to another microchip later on. Im sure he will be fine, the hard part will be keeping him from playing with our other dog.
  3. Hi there we have a almost 14 week old choc lab, we paid $1200 for him, so to me it looks like a scam trying to cash in. Not sure if the kennel I got ours from still has any from another litter as yet but we got him from a breeder adv on here. I know our pup's parents are both shown sometimes..............he is a really big boned boy even the vet knew which kennel he came from. In this pic he is about 9 wks I just had a quick look at the ' Lab puppy section' in the puppy listing, plenty of chocolate ones on there, steer your friend towards the site Im sure there are some suitable one there.
  4. Great photos, it is interesting to see dogs working in a way in which they were bred.
  5. Yikes also.............I hope you managed to get some sleep after all that. And yes it might be a good idea to keep the door closed in the future. Not sure what our girl would do, probably bark then come running to us for protection :)
  6. I would definatley report it to your council or even the police, hopefully they can catch them and sort them out before another dog or person gets hurt. I hope you're puppy is ok and doesnt get too scared of other dogs now.
