Epiotic Ear Cleaner Whats A Better Alternative
Teebs replied to mokhahouse's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
we use it at work as well, one of the bullies has had really bad ear problems, and she has to have it once a week, she hates it and wont talk to you for the rest of the day if you do it to her I hate doing it the others are all ok with it when they need it -
thanks! The trick is to put something into the basket and bring it back to me. I taught her hold when teaching her to pick the basket (well, bucket!) up! will see if we can start to do something else. She picks up bloody quick!

Hi guys! I need some help. I am teaching my dog a trick, and just need a bit of advice on the best way to do it. I want her to pick something up, and put it in a bucket/basket. She can already bring the bucket back to me (and anything else i ask her to) just need some help on how to get her to get something and put it in there first! thanks

How To Stop A Dog Fight
Teebs replied to lovemesideways's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I wouldnt do it with a fearful dog, but i wouldnt have a fearful aggressive dog in with another dog at work, we find if they are family dogs, and one is scared, the other backs it up causing more problems (just our personal experience), I got into some deep trouble when we had two labs in together, one was friendly as, but the other was scared, had a go at me, and the friendly dog turned around and cornered me. Bloody scary -
All mine get them one a week (dogs and cats, and dogs get whatever the cats dont eat) they love them, i usually buy a HEAP of cans every few months, checkout chics must think i have a problem

How To Stop A Dog Fight

Yep, Distraction here as well We see it often at work. We only run family dogs together unless they book a play time in, but some of the family dogs do not like being kenneled together! You would be over the other side of the runs and see it, unable to physically do anything fromthat distance, so we will yell out their names or clap or something to get their attention (then separate them!!) My dogs are the worst for it, they HATE each other at work -

Ohh, nice dog!!! I dont feed mine together anymore, my Bull Terrier is a shit, eats his, then hers So i put one dog in each yard, and wait till she has finished and let them in together again. I train them both apart, but do spend time with them together as well. Right now i have one on either side of me watching tv

Nutrience Active: Only food that keeps weigh on kaos, poos as above Nutro: was ok at first, but i got a batch of the crap stuff, not sure if it is even here anymore, but wont be using it again Nutrience Kitten and Elite, As above :D Shiny coats, happy cats, not many poos -
When we did both of our weeks in Sydney this was lacking greatly I felt, I was very disappointed as it is such a major component of the course. Our sessions were scrambled and half the time the presenters didnt know which topics we had covered and which ones we hadnt. When did you do your course Rastus? I would be interested in hearing more HR June july last year for first week, and first week in november for the second week

The Barf Diet That I Prepare For My Stafford..
Teebs replied to Aussie Stafford's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Oh dear. Well, im one of the evil ones who uses dry food OMG!!! How dare i? and guess what? i have 2 healthy dogs, and 3 healthy cats who do fine on it. they all get fresh meat and bones, but dry is the bulk of the food. Who really cares what you feed? As long as the animal is doing well on it. -
i wont touch bonnie, i worked in a kennel that used it, and all the dogs did fine on it - but for my dogs? Nope, seems i had to feed them twice as much, and got 10 times the poops out the other end!! I feed nurtience, and wont ever change, but if i HAD to, i would go back to supercoat, one of the few foods Atlas does well on (kaos could eat chum for the rest of her life and be in perfect condition !!)

nah, im with OP, we only post when shit is going on. It is heart breaking to own a dog aggressive dog, all your dreams and hopes for anything you wanted to do with that dog are gone, it takes a long time to get over that, but never do you stop loving your dog Kaos was meant to be my flyball dog, I wanted to take her to off lead parks, swimming, obedience, everything, but nope.. not to happen. I was upset for a long time, i never stopped loving her or enjoying her, but it did take me a while to get into the right headspace about her problems. I wouldnt swap her for the world now. My next dog will be perfect
