You said it cost you $35 more than if you did it yourself - do you normally go to a DIY Hydrobath place? if so is does your dog behave when you wash him?? Riley can be a bit of a pain when someone else is washing him. He isn't overlly naughtly, but just spins round and doesn't like to stay still. However, when I wash him (luckily I used to own a hydrobath) he was as good as gold. I take him to DIY Hydrobath place now that I've sold my hydrobath. Works well for us.

10 Facts about Riley 1. Riley is a people dog. He loves people. When we picked him from the RSPCA at 9 weeks another couple had a ticket before us and had first pick out of the 2 puppies left. The lady that worked at the RSPCA told them to take the pup at the front, as the one at the back would be antisocial and won't like people. Luckily for us they took the dog at the front, as we wanted the pup at the back (Riley). We couldn't of got a better dog. 2. Riley was a smart puppy He was toilet trained by the end of the day that we got him, and didn't have any accidents inside at all. Still hasn't at 8 years old. 3. Riley used to sit on the deck chairs backwards if he was naughty Sometimes we'd home home to see Riley sitting backwards on the deck chair (he'd be facing the tall bit of the chair). When he was doing this we knew he'd dug a hole... It was so funny seeing him sitting there. 4. Riley loves all animals He got on really well with our duck and rabbit and he loves our cat, and our bird. Our bird can land on his back and he doesn't care. 5. Riley is a woss He hid under the dining table 2 nights ago because there was a fly flying round the lounge room. 6. Riley is spoilt. He gets to road test alot of toys. 7. Riley is nearly 9 He is 9 on January 9th. We got him when we was 9 weeks. 8. Riley gets car sick, but loves the car Thank god for maxalon tablets! 9. Riley loves his sleep He'll sleep as long as we sleep. He sleeps in his bed next to our bed, and goes to bed when I go to bed, and gets up only when I get up. If im sick, or had a late night, he'll sleep in with me til 11am without stirring. 10. Riley has really long legs. Everyone always comments on them

Keeping Working Breeds Or Big Dogs In Small Spaces
wagsalot replied to dee lee's topic in General Dog Discussion
Riley (Kelpie X) would of not coped in a small yard when he was younger, but now at 8 he would. When he was young he was never tired. We had to constantly have things to keep him occupied in the yard, and he really did use the space. -
Very expensive!

I've got outward hound cooling bandana's - they have the crystals inside which swell up. The large is $10. - not sure if thats the type your after.
-
I really like this one.
-
I love the photos - the only thing I found is the black seems a bit dark for christmas??
-
Not sure if ive been under a rock...but I am just watching Channel 7 news who just said the RSPCA wants to reverse the ban on pit bulls as its not working, then they had a guy from the RSPCA saying ban the deed not the breed, along with some from the VCA saying the same thing. From what I saw, the story seemed quite positive.

Years ago when I was buying one I went with the conmurra - I did look at the barf shop ones but didn't like the idea of the plastic. SInce then though I've spoken to quite a few people that were very happy with their barf shop bath. Pricewise - I know what you mean. I sold my hydrobath on ebay about a year ago. I had it for about 4 years, and ended up making money on it when I sold it! From memory I bought it for about $1400, and sold it for around $1900. Thats all thanks to Sway - she told me to list it! I put it up at $699 hoping no one would bid as i secretly wanted to keep it :D

Went to the vet yesterday just to get it checked out, and it was a callus. He must be lying on a angle, hence why its not on his actual elbow.
-
Its not far from his elbow so could be. Ill keep a eye on it and see how it goes.

I saw a lump on Riley's leg on Saturday night. It hasn't changed since then (hasn't got bigger, or smaller). He was running around like a looney on saturday as we got soil and wood chips delivered and he was running through it so its possible he could of knocked his leg. Its on the back of his front leg, and is a bit smaller than a 5 cent piece. Its white, but there is a little spot that looks like there could be a bit of blood underneath. It is extremely hard to get a picture of, but I did the best I could. Saturday night and Sunday I could touch it without him caring less, but tonight he was pulling his leg away a little - but I think this was more him wanted to get up and play since I was sitting on the floor, rather than his leg being sore. Ill take him to the vets on Thursday if its still there, but in the meantime anyone got any ideas? Edited - had a better pic on the other camera - the colour is a bit odd - the lump is actually white - the same as his skin. It also looks lumper in photos than it does in real life where it looks more smooth.

Riley loves his baths
-
Dogs like different things. Riley wasn't keen on his kong as a puppy - he much preferred ropes and balls, however now he loves his Kong. Riley has a bucket full of toys inside - there will be toys in there that he won't touch for months and months, then suddenly they are his absolute favourite and he plays with them non stop. Just leave it around and in a few weeks he might start using it.

I used the fido's one too when I had my hydrobath.

Wow, well done - thats great!
