  1. First of many happy birthdays! glad you are around to keep those giants in check!
  2. A lot of larger breeds do it, my giants certainly do and I have been leaned on by several other breeds
  3. Well, you must be the only one who puts 2 leads together like that in one photo! or do you do BOGOF?!!
  4. That is correct, but earlier it was the kernals - the little yellow bits, that were mentioned, not the centre part ie the cob
  5. and with that goes the harsh coat, not these soft coated with lots of leg hair types!
  6. TS why are there trigger hooks on both ends on the lead?
  7. Yes. I've imported 2 dogs this year, my white who had a litter just after she arrived (and has now gone to retirement home as I have 2 of her pups) and my new giant who will soon be joined in the ring by more puppies who have been imported - looks like there will be more import pups then homebred dogs in the lower classes now!! We don't tend to get foreign exhibitors in our breeds, except for Crufts, although I do know in other breeds there are some exhibitors who pop over to show here - and of course there are some from here who go over to show on the continent too - wish I lived closer to be able to do that, as I prefer the FCI show system
  8. For a normal title he had to win 3 CAC, to get that he first had to be graded excellent and champion quality from his class, and if he won the class would challenge for the CAC - which is the same as a CC Some champ shows are 'international' shows and from these your dog can also win a CACIB and you dog needs 4 of these to be international champion. The interesting thing about FCI shows is that if your dog is beaten in the challenge eg win the reserve CAC but the dog who beat your is already a champion, then the CAC gets passed down the line up to the highest winner graded excellent/champion quality who is not yet a champion in that country.
  9. I don;t think the colour makes a difference with these 2 pups though
  10. Any breed that is moved correctly and not raced around like they are late for something more important
  11. I'd love to see the before and after photos together, once he is fully back to your liking.
  12. Thanks! He's my first champion, so it is great to have him go all the way to international title!
  13. my vets use nobivac and say is doesn't matter if first vaccine was another brand just so long as there is 3 weeks between 1st and 2nd one. glad we never had the 3 vaccine protocol in the uk!!
  14. Might be different in the UK but Petplan offer very good coverage and don't tend to argue about claims, like other companies do - which is why I use their 4 weeks free to send off with puppies to their new homes.
  15. Why is low tail set good? standard calls for level topline, mentions nothing about a sloping croup. from the exert given and the photos, i would also go with the dark pup
  16. My import flew into the UK in a plastic crate with a waterbowl hooked up onto the door so it can be refilled during their journey after the crate has been secured ready for flying
  17. very! and with your height, you would be easy to find! ;o)
  18. if the floor is dusty, it can make the dog slip more, so look at the surface you are moving the dog on!
  19. have a search in the general forum, i seem to recall them being discussed there a few times
  20. keeping her in a stripped coat will help with colour as will keeping her out of lots of sunlight
  21. What are the vets offering? Have you asked them?
  22. I would be talking to Sway on here - http://www.swayd.com.au
