  1. My vets position is that if there was a blood test done, we can proactively treat the problem if there was one.
  2. Oh silly me, I thought you had a reason. My bad.
  3. I’m just wondering how many of you get blood test done annually for your dog? Mine are approaching 10 and my vet recommends to get a blood panel done annually. Is this necessary without any symptoms of anything?
  4. His bloods were normal, I did get that done at the same time. But out you mention a good point about the gastric. He has never been a chewer. He just gulfs his kibbles down. But I think it’s more teeth related, I haven’t noticed the smell after the dental extractions. im also surprised knowing how many teeth were extracted he hasn’t been in much pain.
  5. Could it be related to a bad experience with a bad thunderstorm and as a result they associated rain as a bad thing? I don’t really know what to suggest but found this http://www.vetstreet.com/our-pet-experts/why-does-my-dog-refuse-to-go-out-when-its-raining ive read things like adaptil where you spray in the surroundings can have a calming effect for the dog but I’m not sure how effective
  6. When i talk to mine, he just licks me to death. He knows I hate it. Probably his way of telling me to shut up.
  7. I used it for the first time tonight, while i think the pump is convenient I would have liked the pump to be a bit longer . I couldn't really fit the bowl under the squirter handle without tilting the bottle of oil.
  8. @Powerlegs thanks, will do as you described. They pump on the 1 litre which i got is quite convenient. Avoids the mess. It says 1ml per squirt, i would have thought it would contain more than 1ml.
  9. and do i need to store in fridge?
  10. Very interesting. I don't know whether this case classifies, but when my older boy wants to get my attention, and does things on purpose, I'm sure he is not guilty or fearful of it For example, he would grab my sock from my laundry pile, make sure i was looking and make a slow run for it when he knows he has my attention. I know this for a fact because if I deliberately ignore him (as though i didn't notice), he would drop the sock and think of something else. Boys would be boys!
  11. @flyers123 keep us posted on what you eventually get. It may not be in days or weeks, or even months as reputable breeders usually have a waiting list. But i'm sure one day you will find the perfect one if it was meant to be! good luck.
  12. @Powerlegs my order arrived today. I just want to confirm this is for ingesting? I just want to check, do you just give it all in one go with food. or feed half in the morning and half at night?
  13. Interesting article. Have had a few of these. If it was fear, how come tail is not tucked in?
  14. Interesting how easy it is to spot red flags. A few google searches and you have your answer.
  15. Thanks, how long do I wait before I need to take to the vet?
  16. @asal nicely summed up. Brings tears to my eyes. Very true.
  17. I’m sure they do, I’m just saying that not listings are ethical breeders. Unless you do your research, it’s hard to tell.
  18. Natural yogurt (no flavour) may help. Start like a teaspoon and graudually increase to a table spoon or so
  19. My boy ended up getting more than a handful of teeth pulled as the X-ray showed bone loss and it had to go. Including the molars. He is doing well well after surgery, almost like nothing happened. im curious about how the stitches work, vet says it will desolve over time. How do they desolve, they look pretty thick to me.
