  1. I can't tell you. I know they go number 1 atleast 3 times a day (they go once in the morning before I go to work). Can't say about number 2 though......
  2. People have different opinions. I feed my 2 soft boiled eggs as well as raw eggs.
  3. If he's being picky, try not to buy or give him any pigs ears so you can try experimenting with him to see what else he does like You can always try giving him some veges My 2 loves carrots and I sometimes will give them half a carrot each to just go and chew by themselves. If you're worried your puppy is eating chicken necks, wings etc too quickly, some DOLers have suggested freezing a few pieces of necks together so the dog can't just swallow and they have to actually chew (atleast a bit more than usual) If you want it to be time consuming (for him to have something to do during the day for a little while), You can always cut a 2L soft drink bottle or something, stuff some necks and/or wings in there and fill it with stock. Make sure the bottle is placed somewhere in the freezer so it's upright and doesn't spill....leave it overnight and you will usually get a big yummy chicken flavoured ice-block As for the kong, keep experimenting with stuff and see what he will like. I sometimes stuff grated carrot and peanut butter or whatever I can find really. I have been lazy with the Kongs lately It's easier just giving them a wing. Oh, if you ever get your puppy a whole chicken carcass, take the wishbone out (little V shape bone which is really hard).
  4. IMO, 2 - 3 is alright but he really should have a variety of things to chew on. I like to feed my furkids chicken wings One of them tends to have an upset tummy after having raw red meat so I dont feed them marrow bones or lamb shanks etc.... Some things you can get your staffy to try instead of always pigs ears Chicken wings Chicken Necks Chicken carcasses Marrowbones Lamb shanks
  5. Glad to hear his eye has cleared up a bit Yay for a Jack snuggle!!!!! My 2 will be jealous though so I wont tell them
  6. I'm glad to hear he seems OK. Give him a big hug from me too!!!!! ;)
  7. I feed Royal Canin Medium Adult for my 2 cockers and fosters (I generally get medium sized fosters). I feed them a range of foods (Cooked and raw). Chicken wings, veges (Especially carrots and wom bok cos they love them!!!) and sometimes eggs are raw. I also feed them chicken mince (human grade breast or leg so no bones at all - depends what I feel like getting), boiled eggs, canned salmon, tuna and sardines...... I also feed them fish oil tablets too to help with their coat :D
  8. I am currently feeding Royal Canin Medium Adult and they have been doing well on it. Recently a family came and commented how shiny and beautiful they looked I do feed them a variety of stuff too other than dry food I would like to try Eagle Pack because I've heard it's great but there's only one supplier in Canberra and when I went a few weeks ago, they had none Can someone post the ingredients of Eagle Pack ? 9. I've bought a set of electric clippers just so I can do my 2. I've also got a slicker brush, coat king, nail clippers, scissors (thinning, curved and straight), and wide toothed comb. I have spent a bit of money but I reckon it's worth it in the long run, especially with my cockers......
  10. I figured that it's easier and cheaper for me to buy the stuff and do it myself. I was shown how to groom my little girl a few weeks back by her breeder's friend. I recently tried it on my foster :p It didn't turn out too badly. She definitely looks better now that the fur's given time to settle down
  11. Do you mind if I ask what you normally charge for a session? I'm just thinking $80 isn't much!!!! Considering I was charged around $70 each for a normal wash and trim. Orson and Oi's fur was long but it wasn't matted.
  12. Try this website. It is located in Melbourne but does deliver http://www.k9katzkitchen.com.au/
  13. Hesapandabear, Can I ask how much did you end up charging this owner? Also, do you have some lovely after piccies?
  14. I'm just thinking that some people who have very matted dogs were first attracted to the breed for their looks (possibly a compulsive buy) then realised the mistake they made by committing to a dog they had no background about. He may have came from a pet store where the staff say cockers are REALLY easy to maintain (I've heard it once. I always go to say hi to the puppies at the pet store when I'm out for lunch) IMO, if they can't do something as easy as brushing their dog (any dog) atleast once every 2 - 3 days and let it get to the mess as above (or like the poodles that were rescued from the lady who's a groomer), then they shouldn't have a dog AT ALL. This is solely my opinion and I'm sorry if I've upset anyone. I'll admit that sometimes my 2 will have a few matts here and there but they're little matts and it happens when they play and tumble or after training where the grass is full of bindii. It's not a fun thing to be getting bindii and crap out at 11:00 at night but that's the choice I made when I decided to take them to training.
  15. So you dont let your dogs inside the house at all?????? what is wrong with that? At and Kaos are the first dogs i have had that come inside. Growing up dogs were not allowed inside - As kids we spent all our time outside with the dogs, not inside ignoring them while sitting in front of a TV of computer. I walk/pet sit many dogs that dont come in, they are all friendly and great dogs. I never said there's anything wrong! It's just a question I would like answered tis all. Some dogs are people dogs and crave attention. Not being allowed to come inside and then being smacked (for whatever reasons) will not make the dog like you all that much. There's some dogs that adjust better being outside than other dogs. And dont you bloody try to start a fight!!!!! ;) I'm not going to fall for it!!!!! Shame on you! There can be reasons why Daniel doesn't let them in (ie. rental) but as the dogs are only YOUNG and it's vital the puppies get heaps of attention and socialisation.... Why does he smack them? In what circumstances? ie. Can it be because they put their paws on the screen door or because they bark????? Daniel, You mentioned you've tried everything you can think of to make them 'love' you? WHAT have you tried?
  16. So you dont let your dogs inside the house at all??????
  17. How can anyone leave their cocker in such a mess? I was charged for $70 each for my 2 when I took them to the groomer's but they weren't matted and their fur only needed a trim. I would think $150 + would be reasonable but then I'm not a groomer (so sorry if it sounds like a ridiculous price ) Do you have any after piccies so we can see just how gorgeous he really is I've got a cocker foster and she was very furry when I got her. Once I started brushing her, I noticed she had huge matts clinging to her skin and behind her ears. OH and I ended up having to shave her all over. I'd hate to think how much a groomer would have charged me if I took her to be done......
  18. Im sorry but I have to He's very cute! Cardboard boxes are an option. They're cheap and one day he might decide that cardboard just doesn't taste all that yummy
  19. She was one gorgeous girl. Those beautiful eyes
  20. I'm sorry for your loss gorgeous girl ;)
  21. Great job Vehs! I met Blossom, Nessie and Peebs yesterday. They were all gorgeous!!! Hey BMP, Isn't it about time you add Blossom's pic onto your signature banner? :D
  22. I mixed it with peanut butter to make it into a clump and just shove it in till it's full. Its to keep them occupied. I know it wont take them long to finish it considering they like peanut butter and carrot!
  23. These ones don't stink - they smell yummmmmooooo And they come in cool colours not just your stand red or black. Orbee Tough ORBO My boy loves to play with it, full of treats or not :D They look pretty nifty Now to save up again :D I wonder where most of my money goes some days *shoots daggers at Orson and Oi who's sleeping on my poof (ottoman) and couch*
