  1. Hi Golden girl, Demon has been desexed now as there just arent any girls he could go to,and he was hard to handle at shows with in season bitches around. He has moved up near me(well, hour and a half away!) so i will get to visit in the holidays. If you are ever in Young, call around and see me/dogs. Dyson starts proper ES training in Feb, and Edward and Bella will follow after they are shown for a while.
  2. I dont do my own for puppy vaccs, they have to be done by a vet as they are C3. I only used to do my adult ones myself and that was before th e3 yearly vacc protocol came in and you could still buy C3 through the suppliers I dont know of any one that does there own puppy ones,as my vets give them a thorough health check at the same time.
  3. I do. Parvac can be purchased from vetdirect? comes in a cold pack and works out about $12 each with postage. But i also use ivomec horse tubing liquid fo rheartworm (vet put me onto it years ago) once every 6 weeks. Used to be able to buy the C3 over the net too,but that stopped a few years ago.
  4. I tell all of my puppy owners that i would love to receive pics, regularly or not so frequent, and to let me know if they are having any problems, whether training, health etc. I have had people send me cds of their pups, thank you letters,a video of one of my hand raised pups (Clinton) playing with ice cubes-all of that i love to receive. I normally chase new owners up after a week or two to make sure everything is ok,and again re iterate i am happy to have contact at any stage. One of my puppy buyers from Leilas litter has even invited us up for holidays to QLD!!! There is nothing better than getting feedback 1,2 or more years down the track
  5. I am so sorry LMWS and th eothers who have lost pups,i know when i lost the 4 of Millies how heartbreaking it is to lose one after the other, despite doing the 2 hr feeds,AB'S just sitting there holding them trying to will them to pull through. Cant imagine the pain of losing a whelping girl either,so sorry,i am thinking of you.
  6. Great dane /basset (deliberate cross with A.I) and whippet /maltese-these people ought to be charged and never allowed to own another dog.
  7. Here is our show boy Centitout Breaking Dawn aka Edward[attachment =199181:Edward_9_weeks.JPG](hopefully) at 9 weeks,it was his first stacking lesson,so please excuse
  8. I'd have to disagree to a certain extent as many would be open to slander charges. I for one am very strict in my breeding and far from a pf and if anyone were to accuse me straight out of something which I'm not, I would hesitate having charges laid. I also find that some tend to jump to conclusions alot before knowing the facts. I stand by the quote "TREAT PEOPLE AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED" OT-but as far as slander goes ,when i find the author of a "pic" of a dog i hadnt owned for years, apparently very thin and dirty, sent to every other breeder, with the words " do not sell anything to this woman (me),this is how she keeps her dogs",I WILL be taking them to court for defamation.First heard about it when i got into trailing.Dog in question had been re homed at 2 yrs due to marriage break up,i re homed him to a show exhibitor, breeder and show steward, after that i dont know what happened to him,he was sold to someone in qld i think, where the pic was "apparently" taken.I have never had a dog in poor condition,or dirty, whatever, and can provide 50 refs if required. I also agree with your Quote Minky-thats what i live by. And yes, people do jump to conclusions and go on the say so of certain people- its called breed politics :D I tell these people now, "DO I LOOK LIKE I GIVE A ...........". I have no hesitation in showing my face on here, well, all you hav eto do is look at the name in my avatar-i dont hide
  9. I'd like to know who decides if someone is a puppy farmer-after all i am one too, according to some.Is there a set criteria i can aspire to? Maybe we should have a panel of exalted breeders we should all pass before for judgement regarding our breeding practices-after all,if they dont agree with it,it must be wrong and unethical. Even the best of breeders can have an accidental litter, and these sound like unusual circumstances, the op doesnt deserve the condescending attitude displayed by some. But i suppose some cant see past their halo Minky, ignore the crap and take the advice of some of the experienced people on here, especially Jed ,without some of them i would have given up a long time ago.
  10. Puppies are 7 weeks old now, some are leaving in 2 weeks :p and some are going after xmas,so i get to play with those a bit longer. Edward and Bella are the two i am running on to show when the weather cools down around feb.
  11. thank you Garth it's devasating and after a week of this I'm surprised I have any tears left as I live for my dogs. i came on here for some help not to be judged on why i had 3 litters at once or why I'm treating at home etc. Losing any pup is devestating Minky, let alone the numbers you have. 3 litters together, how does anyone know if they are all you have bred this year, who gives anyone the right to question someone if they have 3 litters at once,or spread over a year. i got called in to question to for having 3 litters in a year,we ended up losing 4 from one and that bitch mauled her own puppy to death last week, still dont know why. The vets here think parvo is airborne, they said there has been a huge increase in cases after the big dust storms, same as corona. I agree with using virkon on lawns and bleach everywhere else-when i was vet nursin g the dilution rate was 20% bleach-i used to use straight hospital grade and we also had to wash our hands /arms in straight-that did bloody burn! Have you got them on electrolytes(vytrate/lectade etc) I would also add nutrigel to water and give orally to ones that arent squiting too bad. You also need to get a necropsy done-may prevent you having to go through this again. And to the holier than thou brigade-well,i cant post what i would normally say,how about you guess
  12. Raw mince or minced liver(not too much though) soaked in warm puppy milk and fed out of the hand individually for the first couple of times. Bit time consuming but after a day or two they know what its all about and they can go onto small bowls without the huge mess . Also add raw egg yolk after a couple of days, active yogurt and gradually soaked puppy biscuits to the mix as well.
  13. My other half sighs when i mention anything Twilight too-they just dont appreciate hot, dead young vampires and hotter shapeshifting american indians either Personally i just think they are jealous
  14. I didnt want to start another look at my bloodhound puppy thread, Kelpiespupmum, here is Earls brother Edward(centitout Breaking Dawn, pending). All you Twilight fans will know what i am on about I am keeping this guy to trail and hopefully show in February next year.
  15. I work mine man trailing. Will be working with my local SES unit next year when Dyson is trained up.The sire of Dyson was working up to 5 day trails with known victims up to 2 kms urban/bush,and 72 hr trails unknown. Hopefully one of these boys from Leilas litter will also be a trailer.
  16. yep.i'll be doing it too when i get around to another import!
  17. bloodhound pupies at 2 weeks.
  18. Do you have any reference to that? My vet doesn't agree with that, and many non-brachy breeds do it. My kids chi does that too,has ever since he contracted kennel cough from a recently vaccinated dog.It is worse in spring,so vets attributed it to hayfever. No luxating patellas though.
  19. Congratulations centitout Do Bloodhounds always have big litters - or are you just lucky ????? I think i'm just lucky, although the other bitch only had 9(3 of which were stuck behind the big one and passed on).I have worked around TB horses for a long time, and was the dry sow manager in an intensive piggery,so do have a fair amount of knowledge with hormones/cycles and reproduction. ;)
  20. 13 puppies for Centitout Little Things last night.
  21. Final tally for Centitout Little Things -13. 1 still born,12 alive, looks like an all sorts box! 5 solid red,red nose,3 liver and tan,1 black masked red and 3 black and tan!
  22. 8 babies so far for Centitout Little Things-5 girls,3 boys. One is a huge big liver and tan boy like his dad.Mix of black/tan,solid liver nose red and 1 special liver/tan boy.
  23. 8 all up (1 huge dead pupblocked in the other 4) so c-section needed.Mum and pups doing fine. Glad all is well was the huge dead baby full of fluid (out of curiosity)? Hi Aziah, yes,it was but also falling apart, cord was torn away from half of the stomach and very withered.Havent seen it in dogs, but was pretty common at the piggery i worked at(retains that looked like that after only 12 hrs).
