You beat me to it ReadySetGo. It's people like you lot, that that sneak dogs into rooms that stuff it all up for those that do the right thing. We need accommodation when we travel to shows you know. Because of people like you, that do the wrong thing we are refused accommodation even when the dogs are in cars or the dog trailer. If you can't accommodate your dogs while traveling don't take them. :D Good lord! You are both jumping onto something that is NOT the cause of not being able to have multiple dogs at motels. I understand you may be very frustrated and this thread triggers it BUT we are often single dog owners on odd occasions (and hey, I haven't even done it yet, why am I so worried). You need to both take a deep breath... It is all too serious and frankly sneaking a little muttley into a motel overnight, once every two years is not a reason to go all crazy! Excuse me that is exactly the cause. Go and ask a few Motel owners why they they won't even allow people with dog trailers to stay. WE are the ones that know what's happening, WE are the one's looking for accommodation when we are traveling to and from to shows.

Bloody well freezing Like all old chooks I came home to roost, but I forgot how cold the perch was. You'll be laughing in Dec/Jan when it's 36 degrees with 80% humidity here in Brisbane! I bet those whippets aren't enjoying it too much at the moment either :p Wanna bet, we want to come back

Yes, we advise to go and check things out, but always remember many of our dogs are sold interstate and overseas and many of our clients have never met us or visited with us. They also have purchased happy healthy well adjusted dogs and often ask for another. I always advise to go and see for yourself but it is not the bee all and end all of everything. Good luck with your search.

What about a Whippet. Lovely clean indoors dog for a child to have.

Basenji's are great dogs for kids. Especially if reared with a family from an 8 - 9 week old pup. The greatest problem is that the ones that people see have not always been cared for correctly. They are what I refer to as primitive breed but none the less, with the right family upbringing will make excellent pets.

I start mine on any old mince. Usually hamburger and as grow they go onto minced chicken frames. I do add some slightly softened dry food at about four weeks and by six they are are eating the dry just mixed in with the chicken mince.

To the OP. If you wish to purchase puppies go the Ethical registered breeders that are registered with the controlling body of your state.

If you want make sure you have the bitch to breed with I would keep her in my own back yard. So many go down this path only to be very disappointed when it come to getting the bitch back. If I want to breed with a bitch it stays HERE. ;)

To be quite truthfull it has nothing to do with what is good quality for the money. It really is has more to do with, what my dog does well on. To me it's more of finding a food that my dogs do well on and sticking to it.
