  3. Nawwwww thats beautiful siks3 I have no issue with large breeds around children. However if we were getting another large breed it would be a Rottweiler. The issue is the setup of the yard and home. The yard is small and with roughly half decking half grass, also it is 2 story. Lots of stairs. I will one day have another Rottie, but my kids would like a smaller dog. Thanks
  4. The Spaniel "look" appeals to me. Cavaliers in particular are up on this list of breeds Im doing more research into Pugs are cute. The horror stories of how much they shed concern me a little

  8. Im not adverse to the idea of a shih tzu but i worry it is a bit too small. I like their temperaments though :D Im coming to the next hillsborough show are there many whippie people that show around here that i could talk to? I think frenchies are cute as I have heard a lot of people speak highly of them with children, I have also heard they are a bit timid its my only concern really
  9. No Burkes, our rottie is with my ex. He does come around and stay a night or 2 every couple of weeks. He is nearly 9 and slowing down way too quickly :p Will add those 3 breeds to my list to research Thanks
  10. Hi all, So it looks as though we are finally going to be able to start the search for a new member for our family. Naturally my first thoughts were that when we moved we would move into a house (currently in a townhouse) so we could add a new Rottie to our family. However I have been offered by one of my lovely neighbours to move into her townhouse when she moves away. She is a lovely girl who has a beautiful Lagotto so the unit has approval for a dog! Anyways... the place isnt ideal for my heart breed, my children have been talking about getting something smaller. My daughter in particular is drawn to whippets. I was wondering if anyone could make any other recommendations? We will be living in a townhouse, but I have a babygate so to prevent puppy from playing on the stairs. The backyard is quite small its probably only about 6m x 6m.. it already has a doggy sandpit I have 2 kids who are 6 and 4 We do have a very spoilt cat The puppy would regularly socialise with our Rottie, and my sisters dogs (LabX and dashcunds) I am returning to part time work this year so would be alone part of the time. Would come with us just about everywhere else. Will be free to live inside and outside We live across the road from a large park/reserve type area, a short walk to the playground and shop Would prefer a social dog, who is happy to say hello to people coming and going, my kids are at the age where their friends are coming for playdates and sleepovers Anything I have left out, just ask me :p Thanks

  16. Aperture of around 22 (or greater), set it on something solid (or a tripod), use either a trigger or the timer to set it off. You may need to do a few before you get your settings spot on. I used a tripod & a timer. I'm on my iPhone but I'll check when I get home I think this was a 2second exposure aperture in the 20s. There are a couple more on my redbubble. I've only played with long exposure a few times but I enjoy it Thanks
