  1. I agree, it's still not worth putting it to the test though. Reactions usually get worse, the next could well hospitalise the dog. It lasts for 14 days.
  2. He's gorgeous! I love the theme of names you are picking from too
  3. Permoxin is the same ingredient as Advantix. I wouldn't use it if I were you, not worth even the slightest risk.
  4. I bought a massive bag of it but my Stafford refused to touch it. When I returned it the sales girl said it gets brought back a lot despite it being a new formula. My cats are eating it though.
  5. The only snap on combs I use are Wahl stainless steel. At that time when I last bought them, the BARF shop had the best price for the Snap on Combs + postage. I always check out postage costs too as this can often make a big diff in price with other online stores. I use Clipper world, Pet Network, the BARF shop and Nicest Man (DOL'er) for various stuff. It just depends on what is needed.
  6. Reactions don't necessarily appear the first time of application, dogs can build up to having a reaction. Your poor dog I would definitely chase compensation.
  7. That's an enormous generalisation, so much so that it's probably rarely the case. Lately I've noticed a lot of older BB's (sometimes up to 5-6yrs) being sold for 3-4k which I find outrageous.
  8. I like it. I am using it at work with success.
  9. What's 'qualified' though? You don't have to be qualified to work in a salon either. Although I agree the quality of work is rarely there from mobiles.
  10. Esme used to struggle keeping on weight. I feed her a Puppy dry (Royal Canin or Eagle Pack) and Porridge for brekky. The porridge has done wonders, recommended by Stafford breeder. She also gets a banana a day, and full fat yogurt.

I'm so sorry. I loved seeing him in the Stafford thread.
  12. I'd use Advantage over the Frontline for a dog with FAD (flea allergy dermatitis).
  13. I think pumpkin is a good filler. Full of fibre.
  14. Yep, you just flick it out (as if to bend the blade)and the blade will pretty much fall off.
  15. I'm trying to picture what I do.... Ok, I push the lever with my thumb and flick it off using pressure on the table. eta: the blade needs to open 'out' a bit before coming off. Hope that makes sense. If that doesn't work I'll go and have a look at mine and come back to you.
  16. I like the Wahls. I have the double speed but only ever use low, so single speed is fine. I would go no shorter than a 7 on a Westie, you could even do a 5.
  17. I'm gum phobic so couldn't bring myself to try to wash it out or touch it, I would just cut it out with thinning scissors so you don't leave a hole. Good luck!
  18. Definitely outside where pup can sniff, dig and play. Pups need fresh air, sights, scents and sounds. It won't detract from his house training as he is outside. If you left him penned indoors then it may be more difficult.
  19. Dr Rosalie Mathews, Gladesville Vet. 9817 5758 She is very experienced with braccy breeds, lots of breeders and owners use her for braccy related surgery. My Bulldog went to her and my client just took her Cav there and was very pleased with the results. The dog can now sleep the night through. You won't pay specialist prices at Gladesville but the results and service are top shelf.
  20. I had a Rotti who would do this even in the car. If a car came up behind us too close she would go off her tree, growling, barking etc - it was very annoying. In the end I had to muzzle her and tether her low on the back seat, although I'm quite partial to the idea of curtains.....
  21. While we're being upfront..... I had always thought, Poodle3081, that you actually work at Clipperworld. I strongly suspect that you do as your product knowledge and prices of everything to do with Clipperworld, do go beyond being 'just friends' with them IMO. It's no biggie I'm just curious. I'm actually a CW fan. On the rare occasion that I have had a problem it has been rectified immediately.
