The Ark
Woo hoo!!!!! Congrats Tobe & Bec!!!! :p :) Toby was so cute in the group lineup. He stood in a lovely stack, and just wagged the tip of his tail when the judge was looking at him! It was great to be there to see it!

Bindii
Are there any noobs in Victoria? Looks like this thread's been swamped with Welshies You're so right!! I was all alone!! I'm in Melbourne and we started at the same time as angelsophie, poocow and a little before the rest of the gang on here. Are you down here? *will go back now to look at your posts* Edit: Ohh you're a super noob!! Well awesome I'm just curious whether any of the newbies have encountered show ring politics yet, if so what was it and why do you think it happened? I haven't, not really. Everyone has been super super supportive. I do hear a niggle here and there, but nothing more than a bit of competitive opinion - and it's also got to do with me asking lots of questions about the breed and people telling me their honest opinio! Everyone seems to get along really well, the samoyed people organise for everyone to bring along some food to share at big shows - like the Royal and Sunbury - and almost everyone gets involved As far as 'show ring' as in involving judges etc... i've heard of a bit but not experienced or witnessed it and i'm not saying any more cos i dont want to get in trouble from Troy :p Edited November 13, 2009 by Bindii

Tambaqui
Are there any noobs in Victoria? Looks like this thread's been swamped with Welshies *waves* I am one as well showing a Miniature Pinscher! Although I don't show frequently and mostly showing at KCC park, but Clancy only had 6 Shows so far and picked up Minor in Group at his second show under a Min Pin Specialist Phillip Cross and his third show he picked up Minor in Breed and Runner Up Minor in Show (all with competition) at the United Pinscher Club of Victoria! So I'm very excited and happy with his progress and he is doing incredibly well! Here is the latest "stack" photo I have attempted and it! Mind you the lead he has on cost me $75! He is so full of himself, but he is an absolutely gorgeous boy! Edited November 14, 2009 by Tambaqui

angelsophie
Toby has a little brag from tonight - he went BOB with competition despite being a complete BRAT in the ring. He did settle for group and minor in group but didnt win but he did better so it was still a victory of sorts lol! Bec

Bindii
WOW! Everyone is doing great as newbies!!! Well done Jess and Leo!!! What a brilliant result!! I've been a bit slack at keeping up with everyone here... are you handling him now? Today Fletcher redeemed himself a little bit from his dumping x2 last week haha. He got Reserve Challenge Dog and RUBOB! there were 15 Sammies present, we were super happy and he mostly behaved very well!! The judge was just lovely and it's so nice when judges chat and tell you/your dog how much they like them! Yay... I have company :D Where abouts in Vic have you been showing... and yes... very noob. Where abouts? Oh... Everywhere ;) I'm 20 mins from KCC so that's an easy one... but i've been to bendigo, ballarat, sunbury, lancefield and going to kyneton, ballarat (again) and Morwell in the next two weeks... oh and this Thursday i'm heading up to NSW for the Samoyed Champ show. hahaha! I'm loving summer shows, it seemed that through winter they're all at KCC park, so thats where the bulk of our first shows were.. but now that the weathers warming up it's really nice traveling! Today was our first outside show at KCC park, so much prettier What breed do you have?? Edited November 15, 2009 by Bindii
