fiery_di
Oh Boke, my heart plummeted when I came into this thread and saw this news.. I so hope my Ruby & Dyzney will be there to meet your Jordy at the Bridge. Three together sharing a similar bond. At least you were able to give him his wings peacefully and you were able to cuddle & hold him on his transition from here to the Bridge. Much sadness & love.. FD. Bokezu
Thankyou everyone for your kind thoughts Jordy really did try so hard , but unfortunately it was a battle he just couldn't win..........after the transfusion he was killing all the red blood cells, his count went way down to under 10........they spoke with a specialist in NSW who said bump up the dosage and give him until day 7, which was yesterday. Because of his condition I really felt bad that we were making him try another day, but thought it was worth it if he could pull through. By early yesterday morning his condition had deteriorated so much the vet rang and said come straight away...........when I saw him my heart sank, I new it was the end for my boy. He new we were both there he held his head up as we cuddled him and told him what a brave boy he was, he sort of tried to give me a kiss but didn't have the strength. His passing was very peaceful. He is buried in a sunny spot overlooking a lovely view, and I am having a nice cross made with his name, I have been out talking to him this afternoon and found it very therapeutic. I am lucky I have 5 other beautiful Vizslas........................but my God why did it have to be Jordy? So strong, so brave, so beautiful and full of life and mischief.........he is irreplaceable and I will mourn his loss for the rest of my life Thankyou so much dyzney, Fiery Di, Bertie and all the other dolers that came into this thread and gave us strength Good Luck dyzney with your lovely, clever girl Dyzney in finishing your trialling, what an inspiration to owners with dogs that acquire this hideous disease, it is beatable but sometimes it conquers...... Kelly_Louise
I'm terribly sorry for your struggle and loss. Jordy was indeed a very brave boy, fought the good fight... but these diseases can be so tragic and strength sapping. RIP sweet Jordy, your battle is over. Bokezu, I know that no words will take away your pain - but your boy is now free and you will carry his memory with you always. His photos are magnificent - I can see why he holds a special place in your hearts.
