Bitch In Season Question Please

Hello, just a really quick question please.. my bitch is in season, and for some reason next door purchased a new staffy (female) puppy about 10 weeks old. And she has dug under our colorbond fence and is coming into my yard and playing with my girl.. both are playing, which is fine by me..

My concern/question is, will this young puppy somehow affect her emotional/physically with regards to her season? (I am planning on mating her this season).

Thanks!

I dont think you have anything to worry about .There are always pups and girls in heat here and Ive never had an issue except sometimes the girl on heat can be less tolerant. Ive never heard of a pup bringing on a false pregnancy and would challenge that if a bitch did have a false pregnancy that a pup who happened to play with her when she was on heat that was the cause.

Is she a registered dog and you a reg breeder or just a pet?

Yes, registered with dogsnsw etc gsdl, but i have never had this type of issue/concern before..

Do you have a mentor that you could chat to? Also I'd be fixing up the fence in case the neighbours get an entire visiting.

as the others say, no problems with the puppy but you need to get the fencing fixed asap

Yep agree.

I would only have her outside if you are with her. I would be worried about others getting in with her.

Or her getting out!

I am not understanding how this question is relevant to the answer.

The answer to the question would surely be the same either way ?

To breed or not is another issue.

I agree with others. No problem but fix the fence.

I was asking as reg breeders have more access to mentors and the like, whereas pet breeders are largely alone. If you see my next comment I suggest they ask their mentor if they have one.
