Hmm, have to play devil's advocate here. If they really loved this puppy, they would be falling over themselves to have it checked at the breeder's vet. And for people to say that a puppy is having seizures because it moves its feet in its sleep. OMG, I would be trying every which way to get that puppy back.

Goodbye Emmylou - you were much loved and your passing has left a huge hole in people's lives. :rainbowbridge:

Aha!! Adelaide Blue Cheese on my shopping list ......... FOR ME !! Mind you I don't need ABC to initiate a snooze. Your post put a smile on my face, westiemum, visualising your precious Mr Mac snoozing and snuffling and snoring.

I've had a bit of experience with eye operations so have come to know that after injury or surgery, the whites of eyes remain red and inflamed for a long time, so it isn't alway and indication of how bad an injury might be. If Luka isn't bothered by it, maybe it is safe to wait and see.
-
Poor Luka and you, Teekay - always something going wrong with out loved ones. I imagine Luka's eye is pretty bruised and probably burst blood vessels. In a similar situation, I would not hesitate - straight off to the vet. However, your situation is complicated by Luka's fear. Why don't you call the vet, perhaps get a valium dose and organise a visit to your home. I know valium doesn't work for everyone and I have used it only on one of my dogs who used to get really afraid when storms were brewing, but you could be guided here by your vet. I wouldn't leave it, though.

As Tassie said: wishing you strength and comfort on this sad day. Emmylou will be in the arms of love.

That is very sad news, nickyp.

He looks a deal little soul all ready to go and make someone very happy. -
Bone Broth and Lactose Free Milk have been my - and I am pretty sure Danny's - saviour.
-
My thoughts are with you and Emmylou.
-
If you have absolutely no choice but to go back to classes, perhaps you could find someone to stay in your house through the day: a friend, relative, or even another student who doesn't have classes, but can study through the day. Another thought (although this would be disruptive and possibly could be painful and distressing for Emmylou), perhaps take her each day to your vet for the day.

Exactly the way it should be
-
Too true - easy as after the first time. I cook their rice in it via the absorption method. 1 cup of rice to 2 cups bone broth, cover, bring to boil, turn down to a simmer (keep covered) that will last for about 10 minutes until all the broth is absorbed and rice cooked.

That's how I feel, WM. So nutritious. If Danny drank nothing than that I'd be happy, but with the probiotics, Lactose Free Milk and Royal Canin all mixed into his "shake" I am sure it is all so good. I bought a 10ml syringe and now give him a syringe full or two every couple of hours. He'll be on a diet in no time. :D Go Wobbly Mac. You are one special, strong little boyo.

Oh, Canetoad - what a horrible thing to have happened. I hope you heal very very quickly and can enjoy the time with Jonah. Is Jessie still back in Kal? Must have been pretty emotional and exciting spending time with your daughter. -
That is a beautiful photograph, nickyp. Hugs to you and your children and all the other animals. It seems like caring for Emmylou during this time will be a family affair.
-
Glad it is a success. The one I bought is non skid - perhaps you can put it in a corner where she can't push it around.
-
Are you still convalescing from your op? If you are, my only suggestion is that you spend a lot of time lying around with Emmylou. Even if it means just putting a mattress on the lounge floor or wherever you watch tv or dvds. She will probably pick up a little now that you are home and spending time with her. She will be getting very tired and will be content just to be able to snooze near you. I hope you are looking after yourself as well.

Yep, kill whatever you like, but don't litter.

The Adventures Of Ronin And Tigger - Update 29/05/17

 Oh no!!! Ronin is being unfaithful. Poor Tigger. -
Watching Danny like a hawk these days and seeing the slow deterioration into extreme old age, I can certainly relate. Danny is far from the state and stage that your your darling Mac is, and sometimes he is like a puppy, but when I see him falling asleep on his feet and just about toppling over, I am reminded (as if I needed it) that our time together is running out.

Considering pet sitting and dog walking requires no skills or experience I think any course can only be seen as a good thing! How sanguine you are :) Have a look at [**kirty**'s thread - I think it was **kirty**, I'll check]. She is an extremely experienced animal person and still had an event. In another person's hands, this could have been disastrous.
