I would be watching her closer now, especially if she has just lost her mucous plug... My girl lost hers at 10am and the 1st pup was born at 12.15am, so just over 14 hours later ... Good Luck...

The first 2 are the last little girl... Then a pic of a puppy pile :) ... Finally the proud Mum :) ...

My pups at 8 days old... First 2 are the red/white girls.. The second 2 are girl on the left and boy on the right...

Oh congrats, I thought that might be what was going to happen... Sorry about the little girl that didnt make it ... Hope the others do well... When you are up to it, pics would be very nice !!!

Yep, had it on an ACD quite often when we washed him before a show... Wake up the following morning, horrible limp tail ... Havent heard of other ACD's that have had it through ???

Funny you mention that RoseRed, I had similar, but with 1st and 2nd pups... I think pup1 was just wanting to take her time, but pup 2 was in a hurry, and pushed 1 out, then 2 arrived very much hot on the heels of 1... I hardly had time to even gather my thoughts, let alone Vanda having time to adjust, poor darling !!!

Congrats RoseRed, 7 is a big litter for a Cav isnt it ??? I had my first 2 breech births with this litter, but no issues, they just flew out like the rest of them :laugh: ...

Anyone know the full results ??? I did see on FB that I think the Spargo's gorgeous ACD, Indi went BIS ???

Thanks guys, really, really happy with Miss Vanda. All the pups have had weight gains, including 1 girl who has put on 40+ grams in the one day... The little boy lost weight on day 1, but had a great gain of 35 gr today, so very happy, and im sure hes out of the woods now... Pheeeeeew :) ...

Thanks woodys :) ... RoseRed, my girl, Maiden), lost her mucous plug at 10 am on Fri, taken to the Vet for an X-ray, for a count. Came home about 4 pm, nibbled a bit of dinner, then had her first one at 12.15am, Saturday... Not sure after they lose their mucous plug, they should whelp though ...

Here are my babies, just 1 day old ... Vanda is doing really well, very proud of her... Congrats Sway on your lovely litter of 4 :) ...

All 5 babies safely delivered... 3 red/white girls, 1 red/white boy and finally 1 tri girl. Mums doing a fab job... Only issue we have is, I think we have 2 retained placentas, so need to watch her carefully. Will ring the Vet in the am... Off to sleep, with 1 eye open, next to my new brood :D ...

Temp now 36.5, refused most of her turkey wing, but this little girl loves her tucker, so wouldnt be surprised if she ate between the pups !!! Thanks for the good luck wishes, on high alert now :) ... Methinks Im in for a looooooong night !!!

X-ray this morning showed 5 babies... Refused breakfast, ate lunch. Temp 37 at the Vets, (havent taken it at all yet, will start doing it 3 times a day now). Mucous plug gone this am, about 10am... Watching her carefully from now on :D ...

Not long now! I think this will be the longest week, since the last week of my last girl's litter !!! If that makes any sense ... X-Ray Fri to see just how many she is cooking :) ...

All I can say is my poor poor baby, what have I done to you ... Vanda is 8 weeks pregnant here... Please excuse the crappy couch, its the work of the Basenji ...
