  1. they look good :) I would probably use them as salad bowls outside !!! Ant proof ..and cool ! :D
  2. ..ah yes... 45 degrees - let a couple of the dogs go so they can find somewhere cooler .. hear lots of noise - and of course they are off up the paddock 'playing' with the pet sheep & goat !! The two puppies we have ..almost 3 weeks old are doing it easy //they are outside on damp sand ..have their icebrick , and have learned to lap a little water from a bowl ..they too are playing ! Their mum went & caught herself a rabbit this morning!! Old Gert is inside sometimes, and outside sometimes ... Dougal cat has to literally be thrown outside to toilet twice a day .. otherwise he is lying in the bathroom under the bath :) I so wish we humans coped half as well...... Thoughts to everyone plodding along ... it is horrible.
  3. Yoiks!!! poor Dog . please stop filling his body with insecticide ..... BREATHE . go out for the day ..with dog. flea bomb every room . discard bedding .... or leave to be bombed. and bedding outdoors.. spray ..then wash ..vacuum every surface indoors .... comb dog twice a day ..remove any fleas.... if you have stray cats visiting ..try & discourage them ..
  4. well, get him to a vet ...and have everything checked ..then perhaps drive to a different area and see how he behaves? Hope he's OK - he looks gorgeous!
  5. may I suggest- other than a vet diagnosed illness..that he is HOT ? he may well have burnt his pads on a very warm footpath/road ..and not want to repeat the experience ? he may also not be used to this horrible heat ....
  6. Oh..I surface spray the outside doorframes/window ledges ......
  7. I wouldn't use them .. having a constant stream of insecticide floating around the room is something I can do without ... my dad has a couple of things similar to these ... magnetic curtain his are nice & soft ..and heavier than some I've seen ..but I have no idea of teh brand. They work really easily & well (no dogs though)
  8. I had a little macro lens for teh iPhone..but feel this one is far better quality . It is an OLLOCLIP 3 in 1 here are a couple taken :
  9. Oh gosh ... the wisdom of Solomon is needed here ... glad she has had the ultrasound :)
  10. one little black grub snoozing on the ice brick just now :)
  11. It is an awful situation , as her body will carry residual effects ... sending thoughts & prayers....
  12. So very sad and painful for you ... She is beautiful, and always will be in your heart ....
  13. You have two gorgeous boys ! :) Charlie is so tiny :)
  14. I am so impressed yesterday , just before lunch I put an icebrick (large ..about 30 cm x 30 cm X 3 cm ) into two pillowcases , and left it sitting where the pups are ..just on damp ground ..shaded . When I picked it up to re freeze late last night ..it still had ICE in it!! That was outside, in 45 degrees!!
  15. very scary ..quite a few fires around teh riverland and pastoral country nearby you may want to use the new G**gle map ... it's very good! Click on a flame icon to see the status of that fire ... HERE
  16. I love him :) What sweet face! Looking forward to more pics..and I hope his family feel as tho he is safe now :)
  17. OK... I now have an OLLOCLIP with which to do macro stuff. ( thanks to Christmas money) First day out today ..and we are learning!
  18. She may need something simple like no vegies and more chicken with skin/fat on ..or more dry .. a 'vetcheck' without bloodwork/urine tests can not find any internal probs .... However, it may be that she just needs slightly different food ... it is also hard to determine on this side of teh screen how skinny she is . She may be what I consider to be perfect .. ( being able to feel ribs is usually a good thing ) or she may be gaunt .. we cannot tell from your description ;)
  19. well, it's almost 44 here .. and the ice brick is popular ..this grub is around 2 weeks old ..and living outside
