Kennel Recommendations - Hills District
Danois replied to lawsiepawsie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Many people use Calabash (I never have) but you could also PM Pax from here as she has kennels and I highly recommend her. They're more out Richmond/ Londonderry way rather than Hills. -
That's actually incorrect. The majority of the adjudicators on the RTT are from different occupations. The usual rules of evidence etc do not apply in the tribunals (as they are lawyer free zones and Joe Public would not understand the rules nor would an adjudicator) thus it is not on balance of probabilities.

Last one! Typical dane play!

Much more lift in the ears and we might have had to contact the control tower and lodge a flight plan!

this is Boo's type of thread! Realising his feet no longer touch the bottom!

Have you tried the Lickables Fish treats - pieces of dried Hoki and nothing else. Otherwise - look at Jolie Treats - their 'Fix' range might be suitable.

Gomez (who used to be on here) had a little Norfolk - called Gomez. He is the cutest little thing - lovely temperament and a real character.

Nope! I got a drool free version!

Don't know the answer to your question sorry but there is a great Yahoo group called CIMDA which is all about immune mediated diseases in dogs. It is led by someone quite authorative in the subject and (when I was a member) who is very open to questions.
-
Actually no it is not all they endure - try having to deal with a dog who is now scared of small yappy dogs and spend money on a behaviourist to deal with that issue (so he does not develop fear aggression).

It's not just bigger dogs either. I know - but a lot of SWF owners worry about their dogs being viewed as "prey" by some larger dogs and they are less likely to survive an attack. And a lot of large dog owners are sick of SWF owners who think its amusing for their little precious to be brave and bark at the large dog or get under large dogs' feet andf cause them to come crashing down. Its a 2 way street...

Boarding Kennel Vaccination Requirements
Danois replied to PlumTree's topic in General Dog Discussion
That's the problem though - my certificates from my vet will say they're not due again until [insert date 3 years after vax was given] but kennels/ cattery don't accept that - they require a date which is no more than 12 months after the date of the vax. It seems kennels/ catteries do not recognise the 3 year protocol. -
Seriously what's with the deleted posts and sad faces

Is that the same as L-Trytophan? I used the 'Calm' one from Pet Ark which I got through K9 Pro.

Boarding Kennel Vaccination Requirements
Danois replied to PlumTree's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have been told by several catteries in the last week that they require a current F3 vax - i.e within the last 12 months to be admitted for boarding. -
There is no routine in this house as such - done deliberately as I do not want a dog which hassles me when it thinks it should be fed. Breakfast goes into the bowl before I leave for work and gets eaten during the day. If he's had a big run before work then he does not get breakfast left. Dinner - its when I feed it to him. If there is still food in his bowl I don't feed him but if he eats that in the evening I will add some more at bedtime. Other times he gets fed when I get home or later in the evening and other times he does not get fed at all as he does not need 2 meals a day every day of the week.

Biozet - 2 washes and then lots of time airing in the sun first. When you pack them away either layer them with those sheets you put in the dryer or put in one of those refill pouches of fabric softener.

Your dog did not run because it was a staffy - your dog ran because it had not encountered an off lead dog running towards it before.

Need to stay over.

Hi Just wondering if anyone has a personal recommendation re a pet and housesitter in the Inner West of Sydney. I'm not looking for a general recommendation like - use Don't Fret Pet. I'm wanting to have some options available for future (unless you know someone available next weekend ). They can't be allergic to cats and be used to large dogs. Both cat and dog are easy to look after. Thanks

A number of the super premium foods actually have a amount of raw you can feed before you interfere with the balance on the bags.

I feed the Pure Sea (aka Grain Free Salmon) and every so often, the ASL Grain Free one. Really happy with it and can't see me changing anytime soon. In addition he gets a couple of chicken wings at night and 3-4 times a week, a can of tuna, salmon or sardines. Activity level - he's pretty lazy but is also high energy I switched to it as it has the higher fat and protein content after I could not get Eagle Pack Power. I would not raise a litter of giant breeds on it based on the ratios but no issues feeding it post critical growth period. He holds his weight well on it. His coat is much shinier and has thickened up and like anniek - its done wonders for Mr Seal Coat LOL. Not sure if it also environmental but his skin has been a million times better this spring and there's less farts than on Eagle Pack.
