  1. wow pretty laid back little guy. Whack up a few more utubes, SC.
  2. Twist my rubber arm. That doona cover is very cute.
  3. I was walking the dogs yesterday and came across a guy in his front garden. He said he was looking for a 5 foot black that had just been hanging around his pond and sped off when he approached it. Let me tell you, we hightailed it out of there thinking of china girl.

  5. Well said. I dont get why anyone at a council would be shocked that people are surrendering their dogs, though. They should have thought about this when the politicians grabbed hold of the frenzy
  6. I'm also thinking snake bite. I hope you get some answers when you return home. What a dreadful experience for your partner, you and your gorgeous puppy
  7. I hear ya! Good to see you can joke about it, sandra, and great news about China girl - you breed tough Staffords. How long did it take your last dog to fully recover? You asked earlier about the road to full recovery - my two who were envenomated took atleast 9 months. It's a long road but you get there in the end.
  8. I dont see what the problem is in this instance. The journo didnt hide the fact it was 11 years ago and the article seems to me to be coming from the angle of following up a story for the purpose of whether or not the kids recovered completely. Ofcourse a fatal attack of a little girl recently is going to bring up old stories. Dont really see why you're surprised at this one. It would be a bit different if the article didnt indicate when it happened, like some stories dredged up recently
  9. I cant see what's so disgusting about it. Much much worse happens to animals in poor countries and it's not like the farmer has the bitch strung up to feed piglets. Cuba is extremely poor and you've got to remember that the western idea of having Rover sleeping on the bed in a comfy house where we spend more money on the pet industry than that guy will even earn is in the minority around the world.
  10. I keep popping in to check your updates. Go China Girl!
  11. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've misplaced your reading glasses. This is what I said: Dog fighting is illegal here so you're not going to see someone using their dog for fighting, especially in a suburban backyard where neighbours can look in. This was your reply: you said "its legal here i doubt its dog fighting", Here's a plan...dont try to quote someone if you cant find your glasses. eta and if you think you can just walk in to an underground dog fighting ring off the street, goodluck.
  12. What??? Please learn to read. Thankyou ahem, your words exactly: It's pretty simple and straightforward, and totally different to what you said I posted.
  13. I didnt say it doesnt happen. Cooking meth is illegal and I'm sure it's done but you're not going to see meth being cooked by sticking your head over a neighbour's fence to look into their yard either. If the hoodie wearers are doing something illegal, do you really think they'd be dumb enough to do it in full view of nosey neighbours?

  15. What's to say it isnt? The owner is obviously abiding by the legislation. Just because he and his friends werent wearing designer jeans and RM Williams, drinking Dom and throwing wagyu on the BBQ doesnt mean they're not a good owner. You were extremely judgmental and the real worry at the moment with all of this kind of hysteria is people just like yourself will have a kneejerk reaction and dob people in who arent doing anything wrong.
  16. My question was directed at your comment that you wanted to report the dero's you saw. What are you going to dob them in for?
  17. Cant you just imagine the dob in a pitbull hotline. Calls will go something like this Caller:I want to report a pitbull looking dog Operator: what did the dog look like? Caller: not sure because it was mauling a bone Operator: what makes you think it's a pitbull Caller: the guys in the backyard were wearing hoodies
  18. Report it for what exactly? Guys getting together in their own backyard while a dog chomps on a bone, or were they selling crystal meth, flogging the dog and slaughtering baby animals to throw on the bbq? Good grief when did Australia become such a dobber nation?
  19. Unbelievable. She didnt mind going through all the 'flight stuff' to get him but now that she wants to offload him, a puppy, she's just taking whatever easy option available? The mind boggles. First stop as the others have said is to tell her to ring the breeder anyway. There might be someone on the waiting list down that way.
  20. Wow you were great, sumosmum, and isnt Monty a little starlet!
  21. Mum was ahead pushing the pram and granny was coming up the rear with the stragglers on foot. I was very impressed.
  22. I'll share one. I was out walking my dogs when I came across a mum and grandmum walking the kidlets. One boy about 4 screamed 'doggies' and I overheard the grandmum say - dont just rush up but wait here and ask the owner first if you can pat them Good work grandmum!
