Today's photo is of our 16 year old cat, Tigger. She's not very well and we might have to have her PTS. She's on medication for liver and kidney problems and now she's gone off her food and is dehydrated despite drinking heaps

You ever partied all night long, drunk way too much and then woken at noon the next day to find yourself in bed with a stranger? Spencer has.

Geez I wish my dog welcomed me home like yours do. He just comes up to sniff my pants and shoes to see where I've been/whether I've been fraternising with any other dogs and then he gives me a bit of a wag of his tail and sits for a pat. If I'm carrying bags, well then he completely ignores me and goes into 'customs dog' mode. Stuffs his head into each bag and gives it a thorough sniffing to check that I'm not bringing any unapproved substances into the house.

Yay I can finally join the 50mm club! I bought a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 while I was OS a couple of weeks ago. I'm loving it so far, but having to focus manually is a little annoying cos I'm so damn slow at it! This is one of only two photos that was focused properly.. I should probably practise on inanimate objects first, instead of a dog who keeps moving his head when I'm trying to focus on his eyes and a grumpy old cat. Must not think about upgrading camera body, must not think about upgrading camera body..

Here are my dog's beautiful eyes When he was a pup, Spence had amazing light blue eyes. Whenever we were out walking him or at puppy training the first thing people would say was, "look at his eyes!!!". People don't really comment now, but I still love his amber eyes (and his eyebrows!).
