Magnus aka TBCSITW (The Best Cocker Spaniel In The World) is Jed's beloved cocker who ran off when the remaining dogs were being transported away from the property. ok thanks for that. Is there a pic somewhere of TBCSITW? I have friends up that way not far from Jeds, I can forward it to them to keep an eye out for him.

There is nothing that I can say that hasnt already been said. Fight on Jed your durbabies will be waiting for you. Can I ask who or what is TBCSITW? and who is Magnus? So it was definitely him that shot through, or are we still not sure if he made it? TBCSITW is an icon We're pretty sure it was him as no other dog fits the description.But there is no sign of him so we have no idea of what happened to him after he ran off.

I have been involved with 2 breeds recently and I only knew when one breeds natinal was because it was held up here. The other breed I got told about a month or so before it was on (interstate). Good on you. But not everyone can travel for a national. Its not only money and time constraints but also other commitments, myself I am a single mother with 3 kids I cant just take off for a week interstate, the expenses would get crazy having to take the family and also my children have school and commitments too. It's a method of encouraging people to attend nationals while also a way to discourage the gaining of undeserved points while the competition is away. The "bad" dogs shouldn't be awarded because they avoided the show [/b]with the "good" dogs that weekend (whether by choice or circumstance). If you can't get points anywhere except the national then maybe more people will start going. Otherwise they won't and they'll have a lovely weekend of non-dog activities. I can't see the big deal for either exhibitors having a weekend off or for clubs losing some entries occasionally. You would feel "discriminated against" because you couldn't get points for your breed one weekend a year at most? Hey, my dogs are top winning dogs ! Just because I dont go to a national does that mean its because I have 'bad' dogs?? Not all the good dogs go to Nationals... It is not about easy points, I can easily get the points with the competition ! Is that really what you got from my post?! You've already said you don't have a national for your breed, so it's really a stretch to find anything I said applicable to you but no, just because an exhibitor doesn't attend the national for their breed does not mean their dogs are bad (clearly not what I said if you read it). However, there are exhbitors who travel long distances, avoid the popular judges/shows and who enter complete shockers to make more points for their best dog when they think it will just be them. So I'd rather see a nation-wide no CCs rule when a national is on, to encourage everyone to go and to stop the few who purposely don't go so as to try for easy points. Re the bolded bit, well I think they should and I think this as a rule would help that become the case. So you think that if the made it an Australian wide ban oc CC's on the day a natinal show is held, that it would encourage people to take there dogs to the national? No it wouldnt. As others have said people will go or they wont regardless of what the rule is. Molasseslass ~ The parts in the red is what I have taken as you have said the good dogs all go to nationals and those that dont take there dogs have bad dogs.

Erin we have always just lowered the gazebo's and taken the tops, but left the frames. At the triple in January we left the whole lot up!

Yes Mr Quill will be up "stalking the grounds" at 5:30 or at least we hope he will be, because if he isnt we dont get in! Generally gates arent opened until 6am!! Yes over night camping is a problem as it is deemed by Brisbane City Council that Camping isnt allowed on the grounds Yes this is also the problem, as som people were going the day before and "reserving" massive amounts of space and then not using half of it but still keeping it reserved At Duarack this isnt a problem as all the rings are permanent rings As mentioned above Brisbane City Council have put a stop to this, it does still happen on big weekends I think it just tends to get "overlooked" a bit.

I have been abused IN the ring by another handler as there dog was misbehaving badly although if the silly b!tch stopped talking to the person outside of the ring long enough to actually talk to her own dog then it would have behaved better Keep in mind it was the same silly b!itch that was dropping bait ALL through the ring :D :D :D :D Now that DOES piss me off, especially when you have a scent hound.

Yep I have always spoken to my dogs. My dogs get trained using such words as ~ Stand, stay, turn and step. And I always talk to them when we are moving.

i know someone that is going to perth but is going on friday. I will tell them that your asking and let them decide if they want to contact you or not. It is another DOLer but not a showy.

Who is doing Brunswick Valley Kennel club triple header at Murwillumbah July 16th, 17th and 18th. I will be there but not showing, I will be stewarding! I get to choose my judge or groups and have an idea of what groups/ judge I want to do but would love to catch up with Dolers. I'll keep bumping this from time to time as it gets closer. Hope to catch up with some Dolers that I havent met before. Entries closed a few days ago, so if you havent entered yet make a phone call they might still take your entries.

As far as I know there is only one official photographer and he is hardly ever at shows, real handy that NOT! There was another person just going to shows at Durack to watch friends that would take there camera and would take pics if you asked and the photos were absolutely lovely!! But the official photographer jumped up and down and now this person doesnt take there camera or pics anymore (This person is a DOLer by the way ) So now generally there is no one to take pics there. Recently there was a big weekend of International judges my Beagle baby got 2 baby ingroups and although its only an in group award I akways like to get a pic of there first fringie, there was no photographer to take a pic, so no memory of that and yes whilst I did take a pic myself the point is the "official photographer" should have been there.

I havent got mine yet, and I know a few others that havent got theres yet either.

As title states. Do any Queenslanders have the February dog world yet???

I'm not sure what to think about this. Its a bad thing yes, but is it a small case of "he should have seen it coming"? The dogs were going to be PTS for attacking someone then down the track they kill there own owner. Breeds aside what do we think?

I am entered but I am not sure if I will get there or not, I move the following weekend. My dogs will be there though.

It does seem really unfair, if you look at entries on a state by state basis. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that NSW and VIC very often have more than 750 at Erskine Park and KCC. Basically the only time we get more than 750 at Durack is when we have international judges and that doesnt happen all that often.
