Ok Im going to add to the vote of Koolie, I find it quiet funny how people assume they know a breed they do not own or breed I have owned kelpies and I can tell you there is a huge difference between a kelpie and a koolie when it comes to exercise requirements and "off switches". My koolies are the biggest couch potatoes you will ever meet , I have 5 all from different lines and guess what they are all the same, they would rather sit and watch tv than do anything else, they are happy with a game of fetch if I cannot walk them,and DO NOT go bonkers. Over the last few months there has been weeks at a time they have not been walked due to me being in hospital. They are very smart and do thrive on learning new things, so tricks are a must Fantastic with kids, very versitile and will do a warning bark but nothing else... They do shed but not much and have a wash and wear coat and you have many coat colours available. Yes poodlemum have been a member for a few years now ;) I did not even know there was such a list I very rarely go to the home page lol. Ok after reading some of the responses , I started to feel bad, thinking there was some poor person who would really love a puppy but did not speak good english,So I went back through my deleted emails and found the suspect email and replied. My response - Hi ....... There are still puppies left in this litter, they are a working breed of dog and not suitable for everyone, If you are interested in purchasing one please call me and tell me a bit more about yourself and what you are expecting out of a puppy, it may be that my puppies are not suitable for your lifestyle.... thanking you Sheree The reply I got Thank you very much for the response. That is my thoughts exactly , I have had a number of calls and out of all of them have only deemed 2 to be suitable owners. I will not just sell my puppies to anyone .... I would rather keep them longer than 8 weeks to find the best of homes I have deleted the emails and not replied.

Well Pixie finally decided it was time for us to meet her babies She had an even litter of 4 girls and 4 boys ....I am one very happy koolie breeder today

I did msg Troy to see if I was allowed to Join the Breeders Community but have not heard anything back I am now Reg with the Koolie Club of Australia as a breeder and Im wondering if I can post Re litters I have due ? Does anybody know if I can or can't post here re litters if Im not allowed to join the breeders community? Don't want to break any rules

I highly reccomend Hills R/D ..... My cat was 10kg and is now 6 kg being fed 1/4C morning and Night... NOTHING ELSE. Obviously you would need Hills R/D Canine not Feline here is a before and after pic of my CAT

If it is the carnassial it sounds like a slab fracture which is caused by eating bones .... the tooth will have to be taken out as it is very painful , Kovu had his carnassial out 2 weeks ago and he was totally normal after the surgery,ate his biscuits as normal but now he is not allowed bones.I also have to clean the opposing tooth as it now has nothing to grind on and will get a tartar build up. Cost was around $500 , this included painkillers and a recheck.

Totally agree with the above quote..... To the OP If I were you I would crate train your puppy, It has many advantages one for example once the dog is older and has to go to the vet it will be happy to sit quietly in the cage not stressed and trust me as a vet nurse it helps us emmensly if a dog does not fight you when you try to put them in the cage,also much kinder on our ears lol. You will then have a dog who will toilet on command so if you decide to take him on holidays for example much easier on you both. You also said you are having another baby, having him crate trained will make it a lot easier on you once bub comes along,especially if he needs to be locked away for the baby or when guests come round whos children are scared of dogs. All positives IMO :D

What about one of THESE Not sure how good these are as all my dogs are house trained and crate trained and will hold on till they are let outside.

Id say it is the Advance ... I know many people use it with no problems,but it went straight through my guys so I switched back to Hills science diet and they no longer have the problem. Also Advance is a premium food so maybe cut down the amount you are feeding per feed (unfortunatly this did not work for my dogs)
