  1. There is a forum for Australian Koolies -Koolie forum
  2. I know the name of the person I originally sold her to in Feb but since then I believe she has been rehomed 3 times. I want to find her as she was ment to come back to me from the person who brought her from me should she not want her and I would refund what she paid for her. Also she has now lost a leg and apparently the girl who originally had her knows nothing about it and she gave her to a friend to look after while she was on holiday, for a couple of weeks, however in the pic I got of her off the last person who had her the leg is healed and the hair has grown back ....It would have been more than 2 weeks ago.... Nothing is adding up and I want to find out whats going on, Im sure any other breeder would do the same.
  3. That would be great Thanx leelaa , I believe she may be in the campbelltown area ??
  4. Looking for the people who got this koolie for free a few days ago , I believe them to be in/around Sydney ....Her name is Mello on her microchip not Willow ,She is 9mths old microchipped and desexed, she has a tattoo in her left ear a circle with a line through it ,she now only has 3 legs, If you know who may have this dog please let them know I am looking for her. I am her breeder please contact me.
  5. ok needless to say I reckon a Koolie would fit the bill If she wants a dog who can keep up with her current dog but has an off switch a koolie would most likely suit and if she got a rescue adult dog she would know the energy levels. Otherwise find a good breeder and get a pup Also you can get short coats and they they get on well with kids and other animals. here is a link for KOOLIE INFORMATION and if she joins the forum there are plenty of knowledgeable minds to pick lol

  11. Actually frontline spray works very well for fleas and ticks ... for fleas it lasts up to 6 weeks and ticks 3 weeks - I treat my 6 dogs and 2 cats with frontline spray every 3 weeks as we are in a bad paralysis tick area. The products you are using will be working but the dogs are being reinfected. Comfortis is fantastic for severe flea problems, but cannot be used on cats and does not control ticks so if you are in a tick area you will need to use something else for the ticks aswell. Make sure you keep the cats up to date aswell and remember what you see on your pet is only 5 % of the actual flea population
  12. Hi Guys I have a lady who brought a pup off me ..... she lives in Eaglevale and is looking for someone who has friendly dogs to meet up with her and her pup for some good experiences ..... If anyone would love some puppy cuddles and play please let me know and Ill pass on details
  13. Thanx everyone Pup was taken back to the vet today and they found he is sore but more in his neck ?? anyway he is now on pain killers for the next 5 days and then he needs a recheck if he is still sore he will have x-rays then to the chiorpractor depending on what is found.
  14. ok just a little info to start with ..... A pup I sold 2 weeks ago now 10 weeks old is yelping when being picked up , when he gets up from his bed ..... The pup went to a vet on saturday, vet gave pup a anti inflamatory injection , pup was lightly checked over but owner is not happy with the outcome and rang me today for advice. I heard him scream when he got up from his bed, so I asked her to run 2 fingers down each side of his spine, she got to between his tail and hips and he screamed, I then got her to strech his legs up and down etc and he was fine , just the one particular part on him. I have suggested to get some pain relief off the vet and maybe trying to find a chiropractor in her area.... which is why Im here lol Anyone have any other ideas on what could be wrong ?? and can anyone reccomend a chiropractor in Campbell town or close by? Thanx in advance :D
  15. ok my favourite thing I was told by a lady who came to get her female dog after being desexed ..... Lady comes to pick up her JRT who we had just speyed and told her that there was a extra fee as the dog was pregnant, She tell me that this is not possible as her other dog would never let male dogs into her yard....... I then asked her if her other dog was a male... to which she replied yes he is a male cattle dog.... I then asked her if he was desexed and she said NO..... I still had to go on and explain to her that this is how the dog became pregnant
  16. Hi NZkool ;) Nice looking koolies fancy seeing you here lol you will find this forum fun ;) oh and don't forget post lots of pix too come join us in COOLIES ARE COOL Haze is looking so grown up....
  17. He is in that much pain because he is not resting ....Sorry I thought I read that you had seen a vet and they gave you anti-inflammatories ?? If he has it won't do much if the dog is still running around, he will just make it worse as he has had some pain killers to dull the pain. He needs to be on strict rest , I have just had a pup with a sore knee, 3 days strict rest and pain killers and she is now 100% had she not been she was to have xrays just after christmas . You would be amazed at what strict rest can do and saves you lots of $$ too ;)
  18. Strict rest for at least a week, I mean in a crate and only out to toilet on the lead then straight back into the crate, If he is no better after a week I would get x-rays done.
  19. I would bath her weekly in maleseb, remember it has to stay on her coat for 10mins before washing her off , Also grab some pyohex leave in conditioner as this makes the maleseb work better and it can be used between baths
  20. So sorry for your loss Run free at the bridge Millie
  21. The ticks you are finding on your dog are the larval stage of the paralysis tick , I would recomend spraying her with frontline spray,do not let her swim for 48hrs after applying and then it is water resistant for 3 weeks. Just remember that if there are alot of the larval ticks you will have heaps of adult paralysis ticks in about 3 weeks ( each stage of the life cycle lasts about a week ) so check her daily. The fact that you are finding less ticks on her means they have started the next phase of their lifec cycle (nymph stage).
  22. Probably the safest thing to do would be to put up a baby gate so he does not have access to the bedrooms, otherwise Id crate him so I knew where he was at all times. I have had great success with a vibrate collar to get rid of unwanted behaviour in my dogs, some dogs it will not work on but its worth a try, basically it means no one touches him but he gets a vibrate when he is doing unwanted behaviour - on the bed etc. I do not say anything when I give my dogs a vibrate then they do not see it as me doing it.... VIBRATE COLLAR this is the one I have
