  1. and the cake was delicious - thank you Mrs Bedazzled :nahnah:
  2. [email protected] Try emailing Julie at the above address - she sells dog treats without preservatives and will send you a list of what she has. She is usually at the Rockingham Markets on a Sunday. She did send me a list but I have put it in a safe place (probably never to be found again) :nahnah: If there is anything there you like - I can always pick some up for you if you don't want to pay postage.
  3. I teach heel position at 8 weeks of age - I began by stepping into heel position when the dog is sitting and rewarding for the dog doing absolutely nothing at all. It took no time at all to put a word to it and the dog was jumping into heel position. I find with Clicker Training that the puppies offer lots of behaviours which allows me to click and treat whenever I want to and like Ness said its just a big game. So different from my old dog where I lined her up at my first day of club training at 14 weeks of age and we began paddock bashing.
  4. ps..I think that means cake tonight Can we have cake before I leave tonight - remember my bedtime is 8pm I always miss out
  5. I got an email today to say the coats were being posted today. I suggest that you hang off and wait and see what these new ones are like before decising which way to jump.
  6. Fetchindawgs who won restricted yesterday??? I believe that it was pretty hot yesterday which wouldn't make it easy.
  7. It took me a while to work out where to find more info - If you click on the word Shammy Cool (11) on the left hand side of the homepage it will bring up the measuring information. My coat is for Lexi so I got a small. Bedazzled got a medium for Brookie and I would get this size for your kids.
  8. http://www.stylishk9.com/store/index.php?_...Cat&catId=6 This is the link to the Shammy coats. The Cool Champion ones you can get from the dog shop at K9 and they work really really well but are expensive.
  9. Ignore my previous post, I obviously didn't read far enough Are Trick and Finn from Maggie's litter? The same litter that Jillie is from? Jillie was so cute the other night, she was just in a daze and as I'm walking up, her gaze fixates on me and then her eyes lit up as if to say "oh boy!! I know you! And you're coming to pat me!" :D Gotta love Labs ;) ETA: Way to go Trick!!! :D There were 4 of Maggie's lab litter competing yesterday at retrieving and yes they finished 1st and 2nd. Glory the mum also made one of the finals at the agility states too - and I think finished 3rd or 4th - which is a great effort and looks good on the CV
  10. Terrific photos Winpara - I love the look on Snazzy's face :D
  11. Bedazzled and I have the Cool CHampion Cool Coats but we have just ordered a Shammy one each - we have heard good things about them and they are less than half the price of the other ones - so we will let you know what we think when they arrive, Pat on the back Rubystar for not dragging you kids around heeling in the heat when you knew that it was never going to be pretty :D
  12. Novice results from the retrieving trial today..... 1st Ann with Trick - Black Lab 2nd Alan with Finn - Brother to Trick 3rd Sonja with Kaiser FCR I hear the runs were fairly tough for novice - so well done
  13. Glad to hear that you and Kenzie survived the day - looking forward to seeing the runs on video and Bugger about Ness - so close yet so far..... But there is always next trial!!!!!
  14. Well done on your results - but can I ask which dog it was with? Did you get any of the runs on video???
  15. Seita next time get the kids to put the articles out for you and then the individual article out once you have scented it. Good news with the seekback!
  16. So Roy was doing the judging????? Roy always comes and helps for the shown n go's - he's a good lad! Yep nice focus - but must ask - how long is the lead you are using?
  17. This time 3 years ago I entered Scoota in his first retrieving trial. At the State Agility Champs he jumped up to get a teddybear I was holding and his back legs collapsed and he has been "injured" ever since. To be honest knowing what I know now he would have broken down very early on and I am not sure he has the "drive" when the going gets tough. Me I have an issue touching dead things - so I used to wear gloves when holding the bridies and I couldn't stand it when the birdies used to look at me Pathetic isn't it
  18. http://www.agilitynationals2010.com/ Try looking under schedule - it might have what you are after.
  19. I will ring Zoe shortly as she was stewarding and get all the goss
  20. Tiggy what sort of training have you done for distractions - have you tried working on your front lawn, then on your front lawn with teddies and food containers on the ground and then working down the footpath and then at the local oval with nobody around and then another different oval the list goes on.
  21. Did they do presentations while you were there - just interested as there were 4 labs from the same litter entered and also fetchemups baby as well.
  22. So its my understanding that dinner is at Seita's 6pm so you can all leave by 6.25 :D I wish I had read about this seminar before I booked my return trip home :D
  23. No it wasn't a private lesson it was afternoon tea and I couldn't help myself - a beagle was on my wish list before I discovered duck dogs.
