Thank you Toohey No questions at all......except on Jed's progress. Any news on Jed's health is much appreciated in this household. I have been and will be lighting a candle of hope each day until I know she is well. Jed, please heal well and take all the time you need.

Candle re-lit for Jed

Hoping and praying for a better day for Jed. Off to do my candle of hope duty.

I'll be doing my square this weekend. We are going to have rain in Sydney, so perfect "working conditions"

I am just going to light another candle of hope. Thank you Steve for the idea of a quilt for Jed. I'm sure we will manage something MAGNIFICENT while we wait in the most friendly waiting room.

Ok, thanks So what fabric are we using? Cotton? What is our colour scheme?

I am happy to do whatever is required for the quilt.... Now about the silk quilt I saw. It was made from old indian saris and I have never seen anything so stunning. I found it at a craft show and it was far too pricey to consider. .... pushing the silk idea....

Maybe a tad more expensive.... but a fab product http://www.chillydogs.ca/productChillySweaterAllBreed.html I have tried many things and this is the best I've found. I got mine from http://www.twosmallpuppies.com.au/ who is also a DOL member. Highly recommended solution for the chilly nights.

A quick one from work... I think we must have a project co-ordinator for this. There are so many great ideas, so many suggestions. I would love the quilt to be original, "special", etc Will anyone volunteer to manage this project?

Thinking a bit more about it. Perhaps, if a wonderful craft person is willing to design, coordinate and put the quilt together, each of us could make one little piece of the quilt. I am sure that even those time-poor or lacking in craft skills would be able to manage it. Thoughts?

No time to saw due to inability to manage life-work balance. I would like to sponsor the fabric for the quilt if that's ok with you. Or I have 10m of gorgeous indian white silk that I can donate to Jane's quilt. (I once saw a silk quilt and it was stunning)

Oh the wonderful, the glorious Tango (and Pepper of course). I know that the experience was a tad s***, but just look at your babes! So very, very well behaved. I think you owe yourself some major congrats and a big glass of :D (BTW, when reading your post I got the impression that the idiot's focus was on you, not the dogs hehe)

Thank you Toohey No matter how long the road. I am sure DOL members are prepared to travel that road with her - if only by keeping Jane in their thoughts and making sure that the "candles of hope" are not extinguished. I will light another candle tomorrow.
