Da Babes, one of them is in my avatar, are major chewers . They get either lamb necks that require some effort or turkey necks that are almost "inhaled". They get their bone treat 1 or 2 times per week. Even their wonderful vet is impressed with the pearly whites. BTW, my eldest Babe is 5.5yo.

Perhaps REALLY ignoring him is your best approach. Turn your back to him when he does it and stay still. Reward BIG TIME when he stops. Consider how he sees the world and your reactions. Maybe it's along those lines.... I am wonderful, I am smart, I want to learn, Everything is so much fun. I love my people soooooo much. They yip and make a funny sound NO when we play. Maybe that's part of the game?

YES I have two girls and they love each other completely. My boof boy joined us last year (major foster failure). Although he is much adored by everyone, I cannot see anything or anyone breaking the special relationship the 2 gals share.

Another approach..... Enjoy every minute of his thieving and be very proud what your puppy can do. He is such a smart little cookie .

Just a tiny word of warning re Aloveen conditioner. It caused a pretty nasty rash on one of my babes.

It's best to test different types/flavours and choose the one that suits Shyla best. The kids used to get EPH Fish and did ok on that. I've since changed to Lamb EPH and it seems to be better for them. There is also the giant breed variety with glucosamine. Unfortunately HonBun's tummy is not the greatest supporter of that flavour.

So glad that he is better. Yes, it does sound like heat stress. Can Tango have sardines? Can you feed him 3 x day? Re dry food, I feed my lot Holistic Eagle Pack. I am not sure if this is suitable for Tango but there is chicken variety.

I'll give some $ to help with kennel fees. Pls pm me if this is viable

OMG Spottychick. I sincerely hope that your heart can fit into your "not very big" bod. It (your heart) seems awfully huge to me :D BTW I've also found this in your posts "this is of course not including the mad beast we've just adopted!!!". Surely you do not mean Mr Spotty Tango! What is the dog's natural diet? Is it the diet of a wolf that hunts in packs and begs for leader's leftovers (usually with 0 success)? Is it the diet of the lonely scavenger that lives on rubbish tip? Is it the diet of the overfed domesticated canine with oversupply of food? IMHO, whatever keeps your dog healthy and you content

Feeding 3xday means that meals are not particularly important to my babes. Eating is just something they do when they are hungry and are happy to skip a meal or two if they don't feel hungry. They know the next feed is just a short time away.
