Haha thats fine kirsten! I have been working lots of extra shifts at work so I have been way too busy. Im giving him a bath/blowdry sat morning before poodle national so he should look extra fluffy!

Absoloutely it can be related. When we have dogs in with kidney failure all you can smell is ammonia I would get in touch with the owners and let them know about the smell and suggest a vet check. Dont freak them out and say it is kidney failure, just say it could indicate a health issue (but make sure they do take the dog to a vet!)

I think it is essential, but being a vet nurse I probably see more health issues than others and also see the bills that go along with it. My plan is with PIA and I have a $500 excess as working at a vets I can afford small things, it is the big bills that I worry about. I think I pay $32 a month.

We've got a busy March with Collie events and herding anyway, so no real free weekends for a while. Although I might look into booking a run at Kepala on Labour Day for puppies and quiet dogs if you are interested. Would definately be interested. Let me know if you decide to go ahead with it

Smoothiegirl, Ren is soooo cute! I was considering a smooth collie but I like a bit more coat I hope I can meet one one day! I have been loving reading about everyones puppies Here leo is at 11 weeks, 3 days old! He is growing so quickly.

Part of my job is to tell people their dogs are overweight Some people dont take it too kindly! But I figure I am doing it for the dogs health so I need to try and get through to the owner how important it is. I am blunt and have told people they are killing their dog (in the case of very obese dogs). I have accidentally also made one owner cry (which I felt awful about!) but she went on to get help from me and now her dog is looking fantastic and has an extra spring in her step! So many people just dont understand the impact extra weight has and it drives me nuts! Keep your beagles nice and lean, your doing the right thing ;)

Oh my god, I've been stalking the Giday website for a year now. Great sport dog breeder, are you planning any activities with Leo? Hehe I *might* do agility/obedience with him but not sure yet. He is my first own dog (not family dog) so we will see how I go! Breeder said he would be suited to doing agility so she is hoping I will do something with him! He is still being a gorgeous bundle of fun, Im waiting for him to be naughty!

His registered name is Giday Silver Skies over Oz (I think if I remember correctly ) He is settling in really well His up on the couch next to OH snoozing after dinner at the moment Already had a brush today and we are learning to sit quite quickly as well! So happy with him :D
