If you get a FNA done, the vet will take it out the back and look under the microscope. If it is just a fatty lipoma you will know straight away ;) If it does look nasty, they will probably talk to you about further options ;)

It shouldnt cost that much to just get a fine needle aspirate done If it is just a fatty lipoma, it should be able to be confirmed Will also save you wondering and stressing over it Edit: Just saw your above post... Even if you could borrow 100ish from a friend/relative that *should* be enough to get it checked out

Just a quick question.... I dont have a doggy but I would love to come down and practice some photography. Is this allowed? Can I get close enough to the track for some good photos? thanks!

Your dog looks perfect to me Im a veterinary nurse and the amount of clients that walk in with overweight dogs really makes me depressed I have decided to try and at least try and talk to clients about their dog's weight and it is working! Many do not realise their dog is overweight and I think sometimes it isnt really a big focus in consults with the vets. I am getting good results with one client in particular with a big fatty gorgeous cat (was over 8kgs, now down to almost 7kgs )

I loved watching the flyball but that was about the only highlight! I kept saying to my OH "I think that dog is from dol, and that one, and maybeee that one" his response was... "your a crazy dog stalking women"

What sort of photography are you wanting to do? Since I do alot of wildlife, long reach is fairly important If on the other hand, you will be doing more portraits etc, you'll want different lenses. I have a canon 500d and it is awesome so Im sure you will love the 50

Took these today, I will never get sick of taking photos of ducks. So relaxing to just sit by the side of a lake and take photos -
I think for the moment I am definately still practicing, I am almost at the point where I am confident I can get good photos every time I go out somewhere to photograph but not quite (still struggling with full sun ) Mainly at the moment I will be photographing for parents friends and my friends. I just want business cards to give to parents friends so they have a way of contacting me. One of them has even asked me to do their wedding which i promptly said "thanks but no thanks". Alot of them do think just because I have a DSLR that I will automatically get fantastic photos. They dont realise I have been practicing practicing practicing since I got it my dslr! I think i will look further into MOO because that looks fantastic and just what i want.

Thanks heaps for all the ideas, it is really appreciated. I loved the name Unleashed Photography as I think it suits my idea of photography very well (my fav shots are always doggies running/playing/'freedom'). I will definately have a look at Moo as well, thanks!

Have been really slack in posting but I have been taking photos most days, this is one from today at work. She is a gorgeous kelpie, hard to photo though. -
Thanks for the input Possum, im actually looking at Vistaprint now and will most likely go with them, very cheap compared to all the other websites I have looked at. Thanks for your thoughts, have taken them onboard

Knuckles that is an awesome idea and I really like the idea of that. I will definately look into it, thanks!

Thanks guys, I was thinking the first one to for the same reason, I need to find a dog though I think to photograph and use on the business card as that is what I mainly want to photograph. Thanks
-
So I am still fairly new to photography, but I want to get more practice with other people/animals. I have designed two business cards to give out to people who might want photos taken of their pets/children. I wont be charging any money as I really am just after practice. Just wanted your thoughts on my designs! Now I am more looking after advice on the layout and the actual card, not what is written at this stage. Thanks!

I have been practicing alot to get action shots of animals and high shutter speed is a priority! My favourite action shot to date, the settings were - f - 5.6, shutter 1/500, iso - 1600. The lighting was dim and the animals very fast. It is just a matter of playing around with manual settings to find what works (and have a fast focusing lens!)

Im going to go I love going and seeing all the breed stalls. I hope they are still doing flyball as I love watching them

I absoloutely understand. My sister wanted a puppy, i offered to help her find a breeder. She said fine, then the next day calls me up telling me about her new puppy -
Every time I see a photo of a lappie they move higher n higher on my list of possible doggies! Soooooooooo gorgeous
