  1. Did the breeder feed that ,have you asked them for diet advice
  2. The coat king doesn't thin the coat it removes the dead coat .the same coat you remove when using a comb.brush etc etc this tool just makes it easier The coats change through the seasons, winter then tend to bulk up & then do a coat blow around august/september with the warmer weather BUT the coat is designed for a purpose so "thinning" it will have no affect on how she deals with summer. As long as she is brushed thoroughly regulary & all mats remove & dead coat then she will be fine. Mats have more effect on the dogs than anything else as they hurt & pull
  3. what are you hoping from the 2 dogs?? Are you wanting a playmate for the Golden?? Or just a small companion dog ?? Dachshunds aren't hard to train & can be fine with kids BUT there length off back is something you need to consider when playing with another dog especially if big & rough. My Std smooth played fine with our Greyhounds BUT they all new the rules of play & could be left alone & trusted Any small dog you consider as an older dog you must keep in mind many may not have been around large dogs & this can be very overwhelming & not work out especially when you add a young child . of the Dachies i would suggest a Std Long as they have a gundog personality
  4. Does that quote just mean freight or like the companies we use does the quote cover every aspect of the dog leaving . Permits Vet tests pre vet check Crate etc etc As already said if the paperwork isn't correct you will be stuffed bigtime ,exporting is very reliant on all factors being completed within the time frame of tests.
  5. Dogtainers normally use Virgin who may do a better deal,Jet pets is normally AAE . Alarm bells no ,each company have varying price differences even when it comes to crate hire. Is the breeder dropping the dog off or will the transport people be picking it up?
  6. Now for the blokes underwear that supports there "items" have scene some shockers
  7. Depending on when you need the rosette or ribbons try overseas. We have just brought in the most amazing rosettes from Germany half the price of Australia if not more & exactly what we wanted at no extra cost
  8. If its a Rosette then it must be good quality otherwise i would sooner a ribbon. I have thousands of ribbons & rosettes around the house & i like both . I have won some very special ones & both look great . Comets i have never won
  9. The research thing has been gone for a week or so ,annoying
  10. I would say not under 5 kg,certainly under 10 kg you may nave more options.
  11. Here they get told around 6 weeks that we have a pup available but not sure which one. Those who want specific are also told from day 1 that it limits there choices greatly ,we also ask if there preference isn't available do they want the option of another colour/sex,if they say no then they are told there & then that what there chances are. We are honest because they deserve it ,said pup could be your pick (depending on what you plan to keep ) People are entitled to preferences but breeders can't pull there options out of a hat & we tend to find those very specific often let you down the most or hardest to please so in all honestly if we have more people who are excellent prospects & not fussed in what they get our preference goes with them .
  12. When i started doing agility many moons ago you would see an enormous variety of breeds ,all shapes & sizes doing extremely well & highly competitive. Then over the years the courses become better suited for "certain breeds" & those with breeds no longer suited dropped out because they where feed up with courses not being "friendly" to all breeds & realistically impossible for some breeds to get good times or places You go to most trials these days & all your see are the same breeds no real thrill in that nor a real public relations encouragement to joe public when all you see are Kelpies, working borders & a handful of other breed. I loved doing agility but wont do it now as the courses are to tight & i have more concern for the dogs safety which is ashame as they lose out on seeing something "different"
  13. yep got the email as well ,maybe i will enter
  14. Was wondering if any off the WA horse folk can suggest a good equine vet that can do a purchase check. A friend is wanting to buy a horse but unsure which vet would be a good option
