Minis are pig at the best of times ,try tennis balls or the likes in the bowl,don't hoover or make a fuss & if you feed the 2 together seperate so it doesn't feel the need to be a competitive pig

Quite a few of our Minis are titled in obedience & agility,one of the breeders here trials & mainly uses the dogs we breed They thrive in dogs sports,so intelligent. I was part of the Pal Auperdogs with one of our minis when i was a kid . Mind you the black Minis aren't as easy as the Salt/Peppers ,way more stubborn,destructive & can be barkers

I brush my dogs teeth as do many other people i now,bones don't work for every dog so brushing there teeth is the next best thing. Many vets do suggest this but owners think its funny or to lazy to give it a go or place it in the too hard basket . My dogs just stand there like its normal & no issues at all & yes they do get bones & things to chew. I also find with brushing you get to pay alot of attention to what is normal & what isn't. As a groomer we have tell so many clients there dogs teeth are crap & need tending to as they never look & presume the bones/chews are doing there job

The vent works both ways . I have on more than one occasion had to yell to people with dogs off leash (in a non offleash area)running to mine that there aggressive as it seems to be the only way for them to do something otherwise they seem to not care that there dogs running over isn't a problem . My dogs aren't nasty but people who decide the leash rules don't apply to them is becoming a big issue these days & ticks me off

Respect for any dog would be my main thing,respect in the ring to all parties . I am not to fussed on the congratulations especially when you no it is false,would sooner nothing be said.(maybe this is more of an old hand thing) I forgot to say "well Done" to someone once & copped a mouthful so i don't say anything now. Also i think what makes a good handler also applies to the crap some write on forums .i have read some super stuff over the years that i think many people forget or live in a glass house about there own dogs

Biggest pitfall of the GSP extremely needy & clingy,very much velcro dogs that can drive you insane. A Lab is a walk in the park in comparison .The puppy stage is no different than most breeds but it adulthood that GSP can be a handful if not taught independence & the rules .I now the rules part applies to all dogs but GSP seem to be more comfy in knowing the rules,expectations than say other breeds. The do look great but certainly there a breed for those who truly appreciate there pitfalls & work hard as youngsters to educate them well

We get phone calls every day from People who have brought a male & want a female on main because they might breed . Of these calls 99% don't want to breed for the right reason . Most when phoning have no idea the breeder/s they are phoning have lines that are totally not compatible & won't produce pups for the betterment. So my first question would be in relation to the breed standard what are your boys good points ?? What are his faults? What are the main area's of improvement you need to be careful off when using him at stud ?? As a breeder what are you plans ??? All these questions are what breeders want to know. "well yes providing the dogs are good temp and pass all health checks but i can't say that is what i will do cause it depends on so much" This is where you need to now faults as well whether it be mouth,coat texture,movement,pigmentation & the list goes on .good temp & health check still doesn't mean breedable. Have you had the breeder of your boy assess him as to how he is progressing so you can understand more about him or maybe consider showing him to get your feet into the world many of us breeders are If the dog is health checked and registered. Follows the standard what does lines matter? This is of upmost importance & to be honest if you don't understand why then your not ready to consider breeding .Lines play a major part in breeding Any one can put A to B & produce pups but there prefixs are attached to those pups so breeders are very grateful who they sell main pups to. Sadly many of us are battling the Backyard breeders & i am not saying you are but look at it from the other side when enquiring

I borrowed a friends on the weekend & it was the most horrid thing to put up,at one stage it took 4 of us to get somewhere , A 2 person job & i saw others struggling as well to get them up. The arre great quality & strong & easy to get down its just getting them up because you have to pull the clip in each leg

4 months for most groomed breeds is way to long. Schnauzers need to be done every 6/8 weeks ,leaving longer will end up costing more plus the breed has eye brows which once long can't see.

Of the spaniel breeds i would say the Welsh Springer is more similiar to a cavie & not as busy as the springer /Brittany.

I was hoping to buy this range last weekend whilst in Melbourne but there wasn't any there .will buy some in October & i plan to try it ,have heard good things & seen some dogs groomed in the product here that look fab
