Aldgate Veterinary Clinic Kynan's breeder uses the Aldgate Veterinary Clinic (Kynan was born there) and highly recommends them. I have taken Kynan there once for a middle of the night emergency when he was a puppy and I was happy with Dr Nadia.

Kynan is a 5 year old German Shepherd and has been back on enzyplex for about a month due to pancreatic issues that cause him to vomit and have diarrhoea. Lately he has been drinking a lot of water and three times during the last week and a half has wet his bed during his sleep despite going to the toilet regularly. Took him to the vet the other day with a urine sample and it was clear of infection but again showed low specific gravity. Earlier in the year during a routune urine check he also had low specific gravity and the test was repeated a week later with same result and then repeated a third time another week later and was normal. Vet wasnt too concerned and put it down to his system being out of wack as he was recovering from pancreatitis. Once again vet (different one as regular vet on holidays) wasnt concerned this time and said we will retest in two weeks. Looking back now the timing of the abnormal urinary tests earlier in the year and again now seems to coincide with when he was on Enzyplex. So I am wondering if the enzymes are making him thirsty which is why he is drinking more and hence the incontinence and low specific gravity of urine. Our regular vet will be back next week so I will be checking with him.

Sorry to hear Koda is still having problems. My 4 year old GSD has had diarrhoea problems for most of his life. Pancreatic insufficiency has been ruled out. He cannot tolerate any raw meat or bones so is fed Artemis dry food. He does sometimes have the odd bout of diarrhoea but nothing like he used to have. When he does have an episode (probably only one every two months at the moment) he gets a capful of Peptosyl mixed in with his food until his poo is back to normal in a day or two.

Hi Tiggy, I have that lead and it is good but gets a bit slippery when wet. Also it had a very strong plastic-ish smell when I first got it which took well over a year to disappear. Shipping from Leerburg if very expensive ranging from about $25-$68 dollars depending on how quickly you want the order. I prefer this lead from K9 pro as it is easy to grip when wet and is lighter than the other one.

We went to the Adelaide show last night and had second row seats. It was entertaining and Cesar is a great public speaker. It was great to see his calm assertive energy in person and how the dogs picked up on it and responded straight away. As others have said the question time was a waste of time and money.
